Congratulations Orry 👏🏻👏🏻

We are so pleased to announce that our Executive Chef, Orry Shand, has been named as a finalist for the Craft Guild of Chefs National Chef of the Year competition. Orry, who has previously won the Scottish Chef of the Year award, is not only a highly celebrated chef but also the current team manager of the Scottish Culinary Team, who recently took home two silver medals at this year's IKA Culinary Olympics in Stuttgart.

Orry joins 9 other finalists in London in October, where they will all be vying for the title of National Chef of the Year.

A huge achievement for you chef, we wish you all the best for the competition later this year.

Following the tremendous success of last year’s Chef’s Tables, we are thrilled to announce its return on 22nd November 2024 at the prestigious Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow.

Enjoy a spectacular five-course meal crafted by renowned multi-Michelin-starred chefs, showcasing Scotland’s larder. This promises to be an evening of exceptional culinary experiences, outstanding service and superb entertainment, including a Charity Auction.

The Royal Highland Show - Cookery Demo! 👨🏻‍🍳

Our Executive Chef Craig Palmer and our Head Chef Craig Coupar took centre stage at the ‘Food For Thought’ Cookery Theatre, at the Royal Highland Show this past weekend, with their demo focusing on Native Hebridean Salmon.

The chefs demonstrated to the audience how to make a variety of canapes using cold smoked salmon, perfect for anyone to recreate at home.

With both chefs being members of the Scottish Culinary Team, they talked about some of their experiences with the team, and shared insights following on from a recent trip to the Bakkafrost Scotland site situated on the Isle of Mull.

Wilde Thyme are hosting a cookery demo at the Royal Highland Show in Edinburgh this weekend!

Craig Palmer and Craig Coupar, both members of the Scottish Culinary Team, will present at the Food For Thought Cookery Theatre on Friday the 21st of June at 2pm, with a focus on Native Hebridean Salmon.

The chefs will demonstrate how to make a variety of canapes using Bakkafrost cold smoked salmon, that are achievable for you to make at home, along with sharing insights from their trip to the Bakkafrost Scotland site on Isle of Mull and their experiences with the Scottish Culinary Team.

The 2024 North East Chef and Restaurant of the Year competition was a remarkable event for Entier, with four members competing and each winning a medal.

Dean Davidson, Chef at Wilde Thyme, and Oliver Welch, one of Entier’s Fresh Olive Apprentice, competed in the Young Chef of the Year competition, with Dean earning a silver medal and Oliver winning a gold medal in their first-ever competition.

Glen Christie, one of Entier’s Fresh Olive Apprentice, secured a bronze medal in the Seafood Chef of the Year competition.

Andrew Clark, Head Chef at Entier, won the prestigious North East Chef of the Year title with a first-place finish.

The chefs received praise for their exceptional work, and special thanks to Craig Coupar, Orry Shand, and Craig Palmer for their support and mentorship.

Champagne house, Krug, hosted their Global Krug Ambassador Voyage in Scotland inviting 100 of their top ambassadors from around the world on a two day “Highlands Quest”.

Join us at The Chefs Table on the 29th of September 2023, in one of Scotland's most prestigious venues, The National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh, all to raise funds for research into Brain Cancer. This is a cause very close our Wilde Thyme Managing Director, Andrew Hamer, after the tragic loss of his Sister Mary-Anne Hamer and friend Chef Andrew Fairlie.

On the night, you will be treated to a spectacular five-course meal, prepared by a group of renowned, Multi-Michelin starred Chefs, showcasing the best of Scotland's larder. This promises to be an evening of exceptional culinary experiences, outstanding service and superb entertainment, including a Charity Auction.
