So just where did the name ‘Toastie’ come from??

Well fable has it that the man himself John Montagu, 4th Earl of Sandwich was sat in the sun ☀️ enjoying his new found creation 🥪 He reached down to ravish the other half (sandwich🤦🏻‍♂️) but due to the sun found it was volcanic 🌋 John let out a rather rude ‘f🤬🤬k me’ to which Martha (his other passion in life) shouted ‘John, WHAT did you just say!?!’ Quick thinking John retorted….’I said it’s Toastie dearest’. The rest is history………
