We were asked for the flowers to be made suitable for a gentleman and to be in the colours of the army pay corps.⁣
I think these fitted the brief.⁣

We love making our floral funeral tributes personal so that they have true meaning to the family and reflect the life lived and celebrated.⁣

Mother’s Day is fast approaching.⁣

I have finally had time to install our Mother’s Day window display. Decided to go bold this year as it feels like we all need some cheering up, our Mums are the ones we rely on to cheer us up when we down and always support everything we do so they deserve a bright and bold display.⁣

Our Mother’s Day range is now online, we have a range of colours to choose from, and if you feel like going this bold just let us know.⁣

Our valentines range is now available to preorder on our website. I have already had to order my roses so there is a limited supply, get in early to ensure one of these beautiful bunches are yours. ⁣

It’s holiday time, the sun is shining (hopefully), wedding season is well underway, after all summer is the feel good season.⁣

But for some it is a sad time, so we do our best to help by creating some beautiful summer farewell flowers to cherish the memories and show that we cared. ⁣

It’s hot hot hot….⁣
⁣
Hope you are enjoying this gorgeous weather , the sun has meant lots of requests for bright and colourful bunches this week.⁣
⁣
If you are lucky enough to have received flowers this week please remember that flowers are not fans of a heatwave. So, please keep in a cool place, out of the sunshine so not on window sills and you will need to change the water daily to keep them fresh and to get the best vase life from them. ⁣

Peony season…. Favourite time of year⁣

This is the 6th year of growing our own peonies and the third year of cutting as did you know that you have to leave them uncut for the first three years to let the plants establish. That was torture. ⁣
⁣
This year I am the first to confess the weeding has fallen by the wayside but the plants are still going strong, I have pledged to do better next year and give them the love they deserve.⁣
⁣
It is a short season and this hot weather means they will probably be over very soon so if you are a peony fan then pop in and grab some before they are gone. ⁣
⁣

It is definitely beginning to look like the start of summer in the shop , the old favourites of alliums and stocks and peonies are filling our vases.⁣

This week’s window display celebrates the structural simplicity of the allium. ⁣

We have stocked up our plants again so new things in store.⁣
⁣
Pop in for a browse and enjoy the flowers we are always happy to see you.⁣

House plants galore ⁣

Now the weather is warming up and so is the temperature in the shop we have finally been able to restock our houseplants, they don’t like our chilly space much over the winter! ⁣

We have a wide variety of plants in store and I have finally got around to writing up care cards for each plant we stock so you will know exactly how to look after them when you get them home. ⁣

Mother’s Day Thanks ….⁣

Time to say thank you to everyone that made Mother’s Day a success this year. ⁣

Our wonderful, loyal customers, our new and hopefully now regular customers. My amazing team of florists, Claire, Marianne, Twirly and Lil , and our fabulous delivery drivers Kate, Steve, Alice, Pete, John and Chris and of course Mum for making delicious cakes and snacks to keep us going and giving up her Mother’s Day again , lunch out next weekend for us 😊. Hope you all had a lovely day.⁣

Funeral flowers an honour and a privilege ⁣

Funeral flowers are a celebration of life and capture many memories of days past , of flowers given for previous celebrations.
