Climbing the ranks in motorsport may seem confusing.

For Marshals, the journey starts with hands-on learning alongside experienced peers. Progress through the grades from beginner to Grade Three, taking on roles like Flag Marshal, Incident Marshal, and Sector Marshal.

Officials follow a similar path with mentorship and role-specific licenses. With ongoing training and assessments, you’ll stay updated on regulations and build your expertise.

Event Organisers are now also getting structured training, with Motorsport UK introducing tailored seminars and workshops to enhance role-specific skills.

Motorsport UK is delighted to announce the appointment of Nicole Bearne to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director.

Following a career in motorsport spanning over 25 years, Nicole most recently led Internal Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 Team, operating at senior level in an organisation of 1,300 people.

Saturday 29th June - The Mike Jordan Tour

We are now accepting entries for this years tour - It's £85 for driver and passenger (and £25 for each extra passenger) - For this you'll get:

Bacon roll and drink before the start
Lunch refreshments
One course meal for dinner at the End
A rigid rally plate
An event souvenir
The all important road book to tell you where to go
The chance to participate on a 100 mile tour of Kent at a pace to enjoy the countryside, starting and finishing at the Pepperbox Inn near Harrietsham

We're looking for vehicles that hit the road before the 1st January 1998, but if you haven't got anything in that category then please do contact the Entry Secretary to see if your pride and joy counts as a classic or is "interesting".

The maximum number of vehicles is 40 (but that doesn't mean a maximum of 80 people!) and we'll update the entries list as they come in.

Entries close at 10pm on Monday 24th June - but don't delay entering - it would be a shame to miss out for "waiting to see"

Motorsport UK is pleased to announce that a new Learning Hub will be launched on 22 May 2024, bringing key training and education materials to the entire Motorsport UK community.

The Learning Hub will serve as the central location for key resources to support the development of marshals, officials, clubs, coaches and competitors.

To ensure a smooth launch, we would like to advise members of the following 👇

🔵Access to the current Learning Hub will be stopped on the 13th May for all Members.

🔵We will be unable to accept any new Marshal registrations from the 13th May to the 22nd May

🔵Individuals participating in the Accelerator Award will be unable to access their online content from the 13th May to the 22nd May.

🔵Individuals undertaking the Certificate in Coaching Motorsport L2 Qualification will have received separate communications from our Competitor Development Team

🔵Motorsport UK Trainers will be unable to access the Trainers’ Hub from 13th May to the 22nd May. A separate communication will be made by the Volunteer Development Team to all Motorsport UK Trainers shortly.

There's just 10 days to go until the Cambridge Classic Car Run on Sunday 14th April.
Now that spring has arrived it's a good event to dust off the car and go for a drive - 75 miles of back roads starting and finishing at the Shuttleworth Collection near Biggleswade. Entry to the collection, tea and roll at the start, coffee and cake on route, and a roadbook and rally plate are all included.

Maidstone and Mid Kent Motor Club Ltd is continuing its series of Tarmac Autotests with the second event for 2023, ‘The Stephen Stringer Tarmac Autotest’. The venue will again be Ashford Livestock Market, with a smooth concrete surface.

Once again, we are including two extra Classes as a Production Car Autotest; Class J - for Juniors, and Class P - for those who want to have a passenger.

The Autotest event will be a round of the 2023 Southern Autotest Championship.

We are saddened to learn of the passing of club member Stephen Stringer. He had a wealth of knowledge gained over some 50 years of motorsport, and was competing as recently as a month ago. A regular at club events who will be sorely missed. RIP.
