A day's racing is an exciting day out for people of all ages and from all walks of life. Fakenham Racecourse prides itself on its friendly, casual atmosphere and it has no formal dress code. Children aged 17 and under (are admitted free and must be accompanied by an adult) will love the thrill of the races and the roars of the crowd. The racecourse is committed to welcoming all visitors, and has dedicated car-parking and viewing areas for the less-abled.

During National Racehorse Week, 7-15 September 2024, many studs, trainers and race horse re-training yards open their doors to the public. Why not book a slot to go and visit a yard near you? They are filling up already, so book soon if you are interested.
On National Ice Cream Day we want to remind you that Reeseys Ice Cream will be at the Racecourse providing ice cream for our 90s Party Night on Saturday 27 July from 7.30pm. There will also be Fire & Fork Hog Roast / burgers / hot dogs available, so you don't need to worry about sorting dinner!
Dancing will continue until midnight and why not dig out your favourite 90s outfit and be in with a chance of winning the 'best dressed' competition.

We said a thank you and happy retirement to Dr Piers Reinhold yesterday after 45 years as our Chief Medical Officer. There was drama on his last day when Stop This Train in the 3.15 fell on jockey Niall Houlihan, but thanks to speedy intervention by Vets and Drs, both were fine.
Thank you to everyone who joined us today for our Gamble Plant Norfolk National Raceday. The day wasn't without drama but we are pleased to report that all horses and jockeys are fine. Congratulations to all our winners but a special shout out to the Norfolk National winning jockey Dylan Whelan who rode Trincomalee to victory for Trainer Lucy Wadham and Owners Hot to Trot Jumping and Mrs E Gordon Lennox.
