As many of you know I took my older little girl out of nursery in January as she was just ill all the time. Yesterday marked 6 months solid out of nursery and she’s not been ill once. 🫶🏻
I’m not going to lie it’s been quite a tough 6 months having a baby and a 3 year old all the time with no other childcare. This obviously had a knock on effect at what orders I could take on for this year. Thank you to all my regulars for being so understanding.
Today she done her second settling day at a new outdoor nursery and is in her element. I couldn’t be prouder! We are still not at the end of the road with her health issues and will need to take it month by month.
My other little girl will start nursery in February for two days a week which means…..back to work two days a week in February! Hopefully some normality and routine will be restored.

🌳 You all must know by now that I rustic cake 🌳
Katy and Mark loved a design they saw at the Turnberry Wedding show at the start of the year and we altered the flowers to match in to their day.
Log slice, twigs, pine cones, figs, macaroons, fresh flowers and some sugar leaves.
This was set up at the beautiful with the fresh flowers from June Dunlop

Married at one of my favourite venues
Paula came to me and wanted something simple and to incorporate gypsophila flowers to tie in with her venue decorations and table flowers. We came up with this design with gyp around the cake board so it wasn’t in contact with the actual cake. Middle tier had a painted lustre and the other tiers had piping, which might look simple but each dot was measured out, hand piped and then hand painted to match the lustre of the middle tier.
I love setting a cake up and seeing all the decorations and cake design matching! 👌🏼

The Perspex tier is from the amazing .options 😍
(Gyp flowers aren’t allowed to touch anything edible so each individual bunch were sprayed and taped and never touched the cake 👌🏼)

If I had to attend one of my clients weddings this would be the one. 🤣 THE nicest couple!
They came to me wanting something modern, simplistic and elegant. So we went for a mixture of square and round tall tiers, sharp edges and a few roses. Love how this one turned out!

All going well I’ll be back to working a few days a week in 2025 when the girls start nursery so please please get any dates in the diary that you would like.
It’s really never too early to book a wedding supplier that you like and then details can be finalised down the line.
Taking bookings for 2025/2026 and even 2027 if you want to be mega organised.

This cake was a biggie!! There’s not many I’ve had to get the tape measure out and make sure it would have space before it touched the ceiling. 🤣

Shannon contacted me and wanted Sage green, pampas and greenery incorporated into her wedding cake. Simple 3 tiers that all tied into their gorgeous decor.
First wedding cake back this year.

Absolutely love the dried flower trend still going strong!
When I was on maternity I really wanted to do an updated display cake of something i would choose and love.
So three tiers but super duper tall, simple white icing with tons of dried flowers and handmade twigs! Why am I such a fan of twigs?! 🤣
Simple yet effective and I love it.
I had to take the picture on my dining room table as it was too tall for my backdrop
