Great News! Thai Kitchen Compton are playing a big part in this year’s Compton Village Fete once again. Paul and his team of volunteers will be running the BBQ, and Mee will be running the Thai Kitchen Compton veggie stall.

Pop down for a burger, a hot dog or a veggie curry between 12-3 and wish Paul a very Happy Birthday while you’re there!

If your looking for some kids entertainment over the summer holidays!

We would love for you all to join us here at The Compton Club for our first launch event called ‘Somewhere over the rainbow 🌈’ It is a family fun afternoon with free bouncy castle, free face painting, free arts and crafts and field games and of course the bar will be open! We will have the lovely pig out pizza ltd van outside serving delicious burgers & fries and our local icecream van is making an appearance from 5pm. Afternoon all - we hope you're keeping well and enjoying the sun.

Tomorrow morning, Steve (the chap who periodically sits at the front desk looking mildly panicked) will be walking 24 hours for Pancreatic Cancer UK. Starting at around 9am he'll be walking alone and unsupported along the South Downs Way through the day and night until around 9am the following morning. It's a big challenge but pancreatic cancer is a big adversary, and many sufferers are diagnosed too late - some mere days before they pass away.

Walking under the Big Step Forward umbrella, participants are hoping to raise £150K for research into earlier detection and better treatment.

You can almost, if you squint, watch banana trees grow in Thailand. You can watch papayas form, holy basil shoot, chillis flower, dragon fruit bud and, if it's hot enough, cows turn into beef.

During the rainy season which generally consists of a heady mix of heavy rain and warm bright sunshine, the garden regenerates on an almost daily basis - if you're canny you can live off the land for weeks, if not months - alcohol, or rice whiskey included - which could be why the chap in the photograph looks so incredibly chirpy.

Regrettably our temperate UK climate doesn't afford us such luxury, but in our Thai Kitchen we get fresh and organic produce wherever we can for that authentic Southeast Asian taste.
