What surreal times. A stark reminder to be grateful for really simple pleasures. So....Day one of ‘homeschooling’ 😃🤨😬😬😬😬😬😬😭🤣🤣..... I dragged my camera from it’s ‘sabbatical’ and took my little crew up to a deserted patch of moor, for walks, picnics and sunshine. And....at long last, got some ‘proper’ photos of our babes. It’s been on my list for 12 whole months.

Here’s to all you mummies! Doing your thang, with limited sleep, endless coffee and a whole lotta love ✨

Weddings

Photographing weddings for a living is a huge privilege. I work extremely hard to create beautiful images for my clients, that document proceedings in an artistic, yet unobtrusive manner. I’ll be with you all day, from the bridal preparations, right through until the first dance. However, I do like to stick around for a short while after that, to cature some of the dancefloor antics! Your final collection of wedding pictures will tell the ‘story’ of your wedding day. My rates apply to locations within a c.1 hour travelling distance (from Ilkley, West Yorkshire). I'm more than happy to work further afield (I love seeing new places!), it just may be that an additional travel charge is applied to cover this. Newborn shoot | Family home

Newborn photo shoots are a great way to capture images of your little one while they are still little. The ‘teeny tiny’ stage passes much quicker than you think it will! If a newborn shoot is something that you may be interested in, grab a cuppa and have a quick read..... Newborn photography falls broadly into two camps; the ‘posed' and the ‘lifestyle’. Posed shoots – Typically take place within 2 weeks of birth. At this early age, babies are very sleepy and ‘mouldable’. These images usually involve props (provided by the photographer; blankets, wraps, hats etc) and detailed editing after the shoot, to achieve a flawless finish. Lifestyle shoots - a more natural approach to new born photography, showing the baby in his/her home environment - often with parents and siblings. There is no baby age limit on these sessions. My newborn work is primarily 'lifestyle' based.

Children

The very best child portraiture images are achieved with some forward planning regarding location and clothing choices, and then just letting the children do what they do best....be children. There is no posing. Child portraiture shoots have seen me fairy spotting, troll hunting, den making, flower picking, stick throwing, tree climbing, leaf collecting and dancing. I also get the low-down on favourite animals, the nicest teachers, the coolest toys, the best games.....you get the idea!! :-) This approach makes the experience fun and engaging for the little ones, and as a result we get extremely candid images which show genuine smiles and laughter, but also a whole host of other expressions; concentration, thoughtfulness, mischievousness and innocence. A shoot is £75, with various options thereafter should you wish to buy some/all of the images.
