My passion for photography has driven me to some of the work you see on this website. I have been trained by some of the best portrait and wedding photographers in the country at the Trained Eye, including Mike Garrard (wedding photographer of the year 2009). . ople ask why is it so important to have a wedding photographer present when there are so many people carrying digital cameras on the day. Isn't it just simpler to have a friend or family member take care of the photos? ...Well the answer to that is yes and no! Of course others will always capture certain moments of your day that is not always possible for a photographer to capture, but they will never manage to produce that striking photograph that truly captures the essence of the day. Here is a simple thought...

After all the planning has been done, all the hard work finished, all the laughs and tears shed, all the fun and jokes had, there are only two things that remain as a true reflection and reminder of your big day. They are the memories and the photographs especially if they tell a story. I normally work alone but at times I will be able to provide a second photographer on the day, my approach to your special day is to be part of that as a friend, just a friend with some swanky kit to carry around, it is very important to make both your day and my presence with you a down to earth and friendly experience...this will bring about the most striking of photographs you will treasure for years to come.

I don't post much these days as I have been opting to take on fewer weddings, choosing the odd few just to stay in the game.

As much as I love shooting weddings, weekends, golf, friends and family time are also important to me. Therefore, fewer weddings equal a happier balance all round.

I recently covered this lovely couples wedding over at The BarnYard. Lauren & Jack not only looked like superstars on their big day, but were also the loveliest couple to work with. Not to mention how lovely it was to catch up with a family who I have worked with previously and speak to old faces 🙂

Going forward I will still be photographing weddings, but it will be just a small handful of slots available per year.... This preview is a good example of what I can do for you if you wish to have a very experienced and award-winning wedding photographer on your big day.
