So today is National Florist Day!
This is a day to celebrate and recognise the floristry industry as a whole.

I am thrilled that I was selected as one of the 100 faces of Floristry.. check my earlier post if you are interested to see why. 😀

I am so honoured and proud to be a part of this industry, as another Florist said today we don't just play with flowers we work hard, a lot of planning is involved and we really do care about every customer that places an order with us.
Personally my business has seen changes over the years but with the continued support of our customers and my team we continue to flourish and this year we celebrate a milestone of being in business for 40 years!

So happy to reach the next stage!

It's taken longer than planned simply because the list of nominees was longer than expected! But the Selection Panel have now announced the final nominees being considered for the first National Florist Day Faces of Floristry. There's over 200 on the list ... now they have to whittle it down further to reach the final 100 .. we don't envy them their job. Wow!
40 years ago my Mum Pat Penno started Flower Scene in Church St. Launceston.

I feel the need to shout out loud to every customer, member of staff, supplier, friend, and the people behind the scenes who have made our little business the success it is. 🙂

Its been an amazing ride that we are still enjoying.

Thank you again everyone from the bottom of my heart for your support and custom.

Wow… how exciting. I have just heard I’ve been nominated as a Face of Floristry in the 2024 National Florist Day celebrations. This means I now have a chance to be one of the 100 chosen to represent the wonderful world of flowers when the day kicks off on June 8th. I am so grateful to my community for having faith in me and what I do!
