Hello. I am Joanne and I own Two for Joy Bridal.

You won't see me modelling wedding dresses as often as you will see our lovely Bryony, but that doesn't mean I am not passionate about helping you find your dream dress.

And the reason Two for Joy Bridal is rapidly approaching its 6 year birthday is because we have helped 100s of lovely brides find their dress.

And we totally get it that so many ladies are worried and self conscious and completely out of their comfort zone. And that is why we hold over 400 affordable dresses in stock, so that everyone has lots to try on. And we don't run multiple appointments so that each bride gets to enjoy the space and privacy of the studio with no time pressure, and no other brides in the same space.

And we are described by our brides as patient and well patient! (amongst other things!) And the studios are described as relaxed and homely and that is absolutely fantastic to us as we don't want airs and graces. We are down to earth just like you and we know that a big posh frock isn't something that many of you know anything about.

But we do! And no you won't see Joanne wearing many wedding dresses (well maybe some black ones!) But you will see or hear her campaigning choice for everyone, affordable dresses and supporting small local business.

We love what we do. We get it....that it is often nerve wracking to come to your appointment. Us ladies are terribly hard on ourselves and often simply cannot see how beautiful we are. But when you visit us you will see how passionate we are about making your dress shopping experience a positive and memorable part of the planning for your big day.

And hey if Joanne can put on a wedding dress then so can you ! 🤣

We all agreed you looked beautiful in many dresses but we could tell you hadn’t felt that instant connection until we put “the one” on! How exciting to find your dress for your October 2025 wedding at Elfordleigh 🙂

With the first dress on being your favourite but not being the one, we went through several styles and it was actually the last dress which pushed a very strong contender out of the running. When you know- you know!

We then played with some ideas for veils and some personalisation suggestions. We would love to have you back for an accessories appointment soon.

Today we are at Art of Weddings show at the Wadebridge Showground. As we don't have to worry about mud and spiders like yesterday we've brought three wedding dresses with us today 🙂 If you love an A line we have a beautiful satin., a lovely high neck lace and a floaty relaxed tulle to showcase lots of different styles. A little video of our display at the Liskeard Show today that was a tribute to our beautiful location on Tregondale Farm. Pedigree South Devon Cattle. We wanted to show our wedding dresses as well as our gorgeous dresses that are perfect for many different occasions. Our Young Farmers wedding breakfast was a great talking point as was our very pretty South Devon cow! Thank you to everyone that visited our stand and said hello! 💕

So here are our photos from our visit this week to Charlotte Louise Nails . Another visit to a local business as part of our promote small business tour. Bryony is wearing a show stopping fitted dress with some sparkle. Joanne has her nails done by Charlie so can highly recommend Charlie and her beautiful relaxing studio. She has also walked around with pink nails done in a brighter pink colour ( funnily enough called "that bridesmaid"!) so that the lace detail Charlie did would show up better for our photos. An unforgettable experience...

When searching for my wedding dress for my second wedding, I was disappointed with the lack of choice for anyone who is above a high street 14/16 and was shocked at the prices of wedding dresses.

Eventually after several upsetting experiences I purchased an ex-display dress with RRP of £1500 for £500.

As fate took it I then worked for a bridal company who sold only pre-loved dresses which is where I gained my experience. I found that I really enjoyed the experience of helping brides to find their dress and to be a part in the planning for their big day.

Buying her dress is one of the biggest experiences of the wedding planning for a bride and should form part of her happy memories. With the help of Wendy, we aim to provide an informal relaxed environment to brides who are very often out of their comfort zone.
