I know I've been quiet on here for ages, I can't tell you how busy things have been and today I realised that you might have been missing some bridal gorgeousness!

HoneyV has been moving over to more veils, I've had some amazing bespoke orders and been busy with my sewing machine and embroidery. However, dont forget where it all started, and that's hair accessories.

We aren't talking mass produced re-packaged items, but bespoke one of a kind meaningful pieces. The sort of thing you pass down from generation to generation, the pieces that capture your love store.

I'm opening my books up for a few more brides who are ready to express themselves with a bespoke piece. The type of bride who has a vision and wants to bring it to reality.

What do you do when you can't find the right lace to match your gown, USE TWO!!
My lovely bride wanted her veil to compliment her gorgeous gown but couldn't find the right lace, so we mixed two to give the perfect finish.
Sourcing lace is one of my favourite things to do, it makes me so happy to see a bride realise her veil is going to be the ultimate accessory.

It's been a while since I've posted, a fabulous holiday resulted in a mega period of catching up on orders. There are some exciting projects happening and some up coming trunk shows with new collections.

Hectic doesn't seem to cover how busy things have been this year. My to do list just seems to get longer every day! Buuuuuttttt it is all sooo worthwhile when you get to share stunning pictures like this.
Misia chose a super simple fingertip single tier veil to accent her and I think she looked sensational.

It's been a while since I posted, things are hotting up with weddings, and keeping on top of orders has been my priority.

Veils are massive this year, I've got some fantastic projects coming up, bespoke at its finest. Got an idea for a fairytale castle veil, just need to find the perfect Princess!

Help! I need a name for this pearltastic set.

I've been working hard on the final pieces for the upcoming trunk shows and got inspired last night to make some pearly pieces for all you brides who aren't into bling.

I have also been working with a new soundtrack, which is in complete contrast to the delicate feminine pins. Dr. Dre I had forgotten how much I love you.

How do you define high quality?

I was listening to a podcast this week about marketing, and how the term quality is such an over used word. What does it mean to you?

I like to pride myself in handcrafting high quality pieces, but let me explain what my high quality means.
Comfort is a massive criteria, if you are wearing a tiara or band all day, the last thing you want is for it to dig in. I like to make my tiara bands, they are lightweight and flexible.

I balance everything so that it can be pinned into place, stopping the constant adjustments or headaches.

I spend a lot of time working with each bride, so they really feel listened too. It allows me to offer options to fit their vision.

My pieces are made to last, to be handed down and treasured for years to come.

My pieces are personalised, making them meaningful to each bride.

Yes I have lovely packaging, but that's just a vanity thing, I use freshwater pearls, swarovski crystal and handmade flowers, but so do a lot of designers. What stands out when you purchase something from HoneyV is the sheer amount of attention to detail you receive, and I don't believe that comes from mass produced, poorly designed uncomfortable heavy pieces.

I'm getting booked up for my bespoke service this year, so if you don't manage to get a slot, know that every piece that is in my ready to wear collection has the same thought and input as my bespoke range.

Today I'm off to Reading University with my beautiful daughter. I'm so proud of her as she has been given the opportunity to attend an English Literature scholars event.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I am sure we will be nattering all the way home, but will probably sit in silence on the way, an early start and nerves are bound to play havoc.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
While she is enjoying lectures I will be twiddling my thumbs, or fingers so will be taking some work to finish.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I'm lucky most of my work is fairly portable, so it's been all around the world. I struggle massively with focus, so I have to take advantage of confinement when I can. Whether that's a car ride, train journey or airplane adventure, I always take work with me, otherwise I tend to find a million ways to procrastinate!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

it was such a strange year 2021, a year's work condensed into three weeks, well that's what it felt like. I have literally done nothing for nearly three weeks, and finally am starting to get the itch to work again.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I'm an early riser, I have two greyhounds still on kennel time so 5am and me are friends. I never thought that would ever happen in my life, I love my bed, but watching the sunrise in silence as the house sleeps is my most favourite time of the day. It is also the time I work, then or late at night. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Running your own business means you have to do and be pretty much everything, and so the creative side often gets slotted in around books, emails and consultations. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I'm excited to be starting 2022 in a more positive light than 2021, and hope you all are as well.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Where have you been?????? Well this year has been insane, from crickets to sleepless nights with working it's hard to keep up.
