A small round up of last week, we had another beautiful event but haven't included the images...they deserve their own post!
Not only were the gorgeous event florals welcomed at all of our venues, it was Father' Day which saw the shop very busy with requirements for Dad's no longer with us.
To say we're having the best time at the moment, with the workroom full to bursting constantly with amazing flowers, is an understatement.

I am truly blown away, a little bit teary as well!
I found out today that I have been chosen as one of the 100 faces of floristry in celebration of our National Florists Day.
I'm a bit lost for words. This award by my industry peers is incredible, and it's humbling to know that doing what you love and work hard at every day has been recognised. I am really, very grateful.
Congratulations to all 100 and of course to all those nominated. Everyone wins with this much talent and dedication in our industry 👏 🙌

Happy National Florist Day 🥳
Today we celebrate all that is amazing about the wonderful business that we are proud to be part of. From florists, to wholesalers, to drivers, admin staff, nuts and bolts people. To every single person who works and creates within this fabulously crazy world we inhabit!
Most of all I thank YOU...the customers, the clients, those who have faith in us and entrust their flowers into our hands. You are never just buying flowers, you are buying memories, a gesture, a final goodbye, a thought, a message and by gum are we humbled that you choose us and every other independent florist out there.
It means the world to us that we get to serve you, it means the world to me that I have met some of the most fantastic people on this planet within this industry and have learnt so, so much over the years (there has been a few of them!). So happy that I get to call many of them friends as well.

This means I now have a chance to be one of the 100 chosen to represent the wonderful world of flowers when the day kicks off on June 8th. What better week, than Chelsea week, to announce that we are part of the fantastic first ever National Florist Day, along with 1000 other amazing florists, which brings the flower industry together on 8th June 2024.
National Florist Day encompasses all of those in the floriculture industry and will celebrate all that is wonderful about flowers, floristry and of florists and showcase the skill and magic that goes into it.
There is so much more to the flower industry than people think, it is a multibillion pound industry that stretches right around the globe and comes with a lot of challenges, like making sure deliveries are on time, flowers are kept in perfect condition and having almost emergency resuce service skills to make sure that those all important, last minute requests are dealt with. It's the best profession in the world, I wouldn't change it for a thing but it's definitely not just a 'playing with flowers' kind of job!
We help people on every occasion in their lives. Being part of National Florist Day will allow us to share just some of the magic we create every day and how we do it.

It's May...and that means weddings! The images are all from one of our recent weddings. We're proud and humbled that we get to work for some wonderful clients. Being chosen as the florist for one of the most special days in a couples life is always an honour and a privilege.
And that is also why we choose to accept only one wedding per weekend. You should have our utmost attention on your special day and the skills of the whole team available to you.
Behind the scenes, we can concentrate on ensuring your flowers are getting the best care ready to make their debut on the day. Vases are cleaned and polished, pedestals repainted, and candles safely packaged.
We love being recommended supplier at many unique and historic venues across London and the South East and our skills have graced many a venue from pubs to teepees and grand palaces, every single one is a joy.
We're pretty much fully booked for the rest of this year, we have a few spots available in the autumn months and 2025 is already peppered with weddings - in fact December 2025 is now full and June 2025 has one weekend left. I blinked and we're practically half way through May...where are the months going!?
A round up of a snippet of what we got up to in April. So many beautiful flowers left the shop in the form of bouquets and final sympathy designs as well as a wonderful cacophony of events that are always such a joy to create.

Last week we had the honour of creating a flower wall for the arrival home of the magnificent new Cunard Ship, Queen Anne, and her maiden voyage.
Months were spent working with the colour theme, hand picking flowers, creating different layouts on our workroom floor, and mapping the design.
A meadow theme was created at the base of the wall which included many varieties including hornbeam and frothy white cow parsley, otherwise known as ''Queen Anne's Lace"
It was a privilege to be involved and entrusted for such a beautiful new ship.

💜🩷💜🩷...our feet aren't touching the ground this week, after a full sell out 2 days on the trot we restocked today...to sell out again!😱...grateful to all of you that you choose us time and time again

It is the busiest Mother's Day I have ever known with a complete sell over both days and I truly cannot thank all of you lovely customers for choosing us. Not only were we serving our local community but you were coming from far and wide to buy from us. Humbled and very grateful.

We've been in early again today organising more of the foliage and plant deliveries as well as flowers for 4 events this week. 😀
Another early day tomorrow beckons with our HUGEEEE flower deliver coming in, events to floral up, and more organising for International Women's Day and Mother's Day.

A real South Londoner, Karen was never happier than when she was off out in the countryside, camping with the Girl Guides (yes, she knows how to tie knots and light a fire with one match) - it may have only been Cudham, near Bromley, but that was miles away from Greenwich! up a tree, getting filthy, picking flowers to put in jam jars around the campfire was normal wayyyyy before jam jars at weddings became a ‘thing’!
Karen has worked with some amazing florists over the years in her career and has been to many a far flung destination creating designs for some amazing parties. Starting her own business was an absolute leap of faith. The ethos was to bring luxury and quality to the high street florist which is accessible for all. The business is now 14 years old, (luckily it’s behaving pretty well for a teenager!) and Karen is massively passionate about promoting the benefits of independent high-street floristry.
We have been privileged over the 14 years to create designs for a massive range of clients, from our everyday, amazing local customers to celebrities and royalty. Each and every one is as important to us as the last.
