Hi all. I’ve been very quiet recently as we have been away and also working behind the scenes with handing over the business. Please follow the new owners and give them the wonderful support you’ve all given me over the last few years. They have experience with large events and bell tents so wil be a brilliant company to take over the Sleep Retreat.

It’s been a privilege to work with so many of you and be a part of all your celebrations and parties. All those that had parties booked are being honoured by the new owners and I will be about to give a hand if needed.

I know this is the sleepover side but I’m sharing this post as this is the lovely new owner of the wedding/event side of the business. Both sides compliment each other really well so if you need a candy cart or lights to go with your bell tent or indoor tents drop her a message. Give her page a like and a follow.

Just the final finances and paperwork to sort out but last night the sale of the Sleep Retreat was confirmed. It’s been bought by a great company with experience in bell tents called Forget Me Not Events. They are Lincoln based and are taking on all my bookings apart from 2 (already booked with their own business ) which I will be doing so we will be in touch with everyone next week to confirm everything. I will post all their contact details next week when handover is complete. A bittersweet time as I am really sad to sell but I know these ladies are going to make a roaring success and my hard work has gone into good hands.

I have had a lot of enquiries about the sleepover side of the business so I am going to type up a list of everything I have and I’ll add it to here. I didn’t realise I had so much 🙈😂. I had completely forgotten about the picnics side and the pamper stuff and things like all the cuddly toys that go with the themes and even down to the bell tent chandelier.

It is with much sadness and regret I have made the decision to sell the business due to worsening ill health. If you have a party booked and I haven’t been in touch then don’t panic, I will still be doing yours as it will take a few weeks to sort all this out.

It’s both the wedding/party side and the sleepover side. I would prefer to sell all in one go but would split the two parts. This is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to start working for themselves or as an addition to an already established party business. If you know of anyone that might be interested please direct them to my fb pages or my Tik Tok and Insta and message me for further details. I will be adding a list later of stock but there is a LOT, especially on the tent side.

The feeling of satisfaction when you get all the printing done for all the parties this month ready for pressing AND submit your tax return for the 23/24 financial year instead of leaving it until January as usual.

I often get enquiries that definitely want to book and I send out the deposit invoice and the Ts and Cs. Unfortunately without the deposit it isn’t a booking. I don’t chase people up so if another enquiry comes in and they pay the deposit they get the diary date. As a small business I can’t hold dates for people. Please don’t take it personally but no deposit, no booking.

Just to let you all know that we are heading for Cornwall again this year in June so we will be closed. We leave on Saturday 8th June and will be back Saturday 15th. This year most of the family are coming and we are going to be down there for my son’s birthday, hubby’s birthday and our 27th wedding anniversary. Can’t wait. 😍.

A few of you knew I was awaiting a hospital appointment that could have decided if I could carry on working. I’m pleased to say that although I still have further tests etc to go through I can continue to work and drive sooooo…. My books are now open for 2024 bookings, including Christmas lol. I’ve already got one in for next December.
