Why not it a team together for a fun evening at the RNLI Paddle Race at The Official Test Centre (OTC) on 1st August? Details are below.

Paddle over to The Official Test Centre (OTC)and register your team for the RNLI PADDLE RACE!

This annual event is so much fun, it has an epic reputation for creating a friendly rivalry and it is a real laugh! All money raised goes to the RNLI!

What are you doing on Thursday 1st August 2024 at 5:30pm? How about entering and registering a team for the RNLI charity paddle race? please call the centre on 07817 717904 or email [email protected]

💥 Donation £10 in cash on the day per person
💥 When you call to register your team we will need a lead name, your team name and a contact number.
💥 The minimum number in a team should be six, with the maximum being 10 in a team.
💥 The event will start at 5:30pm, with the first race starting at 6:15pm.
💥 This year we would like you to register before the 26th of July 2024. This will be the deadline and the cut off date to get all your teams together.
💥 All safety equipment will be provided by The OTC, this includes the giant SUP boards, paddles and buoyancy aids. All you need to bring is your energy and enthusiasm and if your team want to wear fancy dress that would be awesome.

On the sunniest weekend of the year so far, 25 Musto Skiffs arrived at WPNSA for the open meeting at the venue, which will also be the host for the 2024 World Championships this July.

The Board of Directors at WPNSA are delighted to announce the new CEO will be Jon Tweedle. Jon has a wealth of experience in sailing both as a competitor and volunteering with class associations; Jon will be joining the Academy in August having served in the RAF for 28 years.

David Griffith, Chair of the Board of Directors said “We are delighted to welcome Jon to the WPNSA team to lead and develop the business in line with our Mission Statement and Values.”

Jon Tweedle said “I’m absolutely delighted to have been given this opportunity, and look forward to working with all the groups and sailors that use this fantastic venue.”

Congratulations to the Andrew Simpson Foundation : The Sailing Charity on 10 years of inspiring children through sailing. Also to Andrew Simpson Centres - Portland who have been one of our onsite partners for 10 years today.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

On the 9th May 2014 we opened our first ever Andrew Simpson Centres on Olympic Waters at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy! ⛵

On the day, our Trustee Sir Ben Ainslie said “reflecting on the Foundation’s objective to inspire the next generation through sailing, the Centre will be a place where we can inspire Andrew’s drive and determination through delivering everything from taster courses to longer term development and mentoring.”

Since 2014, our network of not-for-profit Centres have welcomed over 160,000 people to participate in sailing & watersports.

144 ILCA sailors have entered this weekend’s UKLA Qualifier, the 2nd Qualifier of 2024.
3 races were completed on Saturday in a really good breeze. 14 year old Jessica Powell dominated the ILCA4 with 🥇🥇🥈. Youth sailor Alfie Noel leads the ILCA6 overall scoring 🥇🥈4️⃣. While Tokyo Olympian Elliot Hanson gave a world class performance scoring 🥇🥇🥇in the ILCA7.

Ilca qualifier 2. What a difference a day makes.

It was too windy to get my drone out of it's box yesterday, let alone fly it.

Patience paid off today with PJ and the race team keeping the fleet ashore until the wind settled.
