I had the absolute pleasure of teaming up with Promin Metabolics this weekend at the annual ESPKU conference In Birmingham.

I provided a live cookery demonstration and learnt so much more about PKU and how people live with the condition.

I received so much positive feedback and everybody was so welcoming and amazed by the food. It couldn’t have gone any better!

Onwards and Upwards, there’s plenty more low protein recipes on the way!

Currently en route to Birmingham for the ESPKU conference to provide a live cookery demonstration for Promin Metabolics

I have been providing recipie development projects for almost 2 years now and have been given this amazing opportunity to use ingredients made for people living with PKU disease.

I’ll be cooking Chicken and Mushroom Risotto (as voted for via a poll on Instagram) using Promins imitation rice and moulding chicken flavour burger mix into bite size pieces, folding in some mushrooms and onion, garnishing with parsley and providing samples to a live audience for the first time ‼️
