We ended June with the beautiful weddings of Mr and Mrs Jeffrey and Mr and Mrs Whalen and kicked off July with one of our favourite events, a school prom! And our very own Kieran attended the event, looking very dapper 👌

We had the pleasure of hosting Michelle’s 50th birthday bash at Gray manor and what a glamorous event it was! This isn’t the first event Michelle has held with us and no matter the occasion, she always brings the glam. We really love return visitors at Gray Manor it makes a special event, even more special.

Well what a busy start to the year we have had! January is usually a fairly dull month at the manor but this year, we’ve had parties, conferences and the beautiful wedding of the new Mr and Mrs Burrows!

Merry Christmas from us!

Today is our last night of guests staying in 2023 before we close our doors for a bit of a hotel spruce up, and to give the team a well earned break.

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us this year. It’s been one of our busiest and also most enjoyable years so far with so many events, parties, conferences and hotel guests. It isn’t an easy time to be in hospitality and your support means so much to us and our families.

A special thank you to our incredible hardworking, loyal and kind team have done us so proud, alway going above and beyond for us and our guests and they are truly part of our family.

The last picture is just the most perfect way to end the year. With someone having asked for a wedding venue recommendation on a local site - the sheer volume of you who tagged Gray Manor in the post made our hearts so full.

We wish you all, the best Christmas and look forward to seeing you in the New Year.

MEET THE TEAM - Sharon ❤️

Sharon is our Housekeeping Manager with a heart of gold. She is one of the most hard working and loyal (and slightly loopy) people you will ever have the pleasure of meeting.

Not only does she run the entire housekeeping department at Gray Manor, but she helps across any area needed without complaint. Whether that is setting up for weddings, serving guests or being a child entertainer at a kids party (I’ve been kind and kept the photo of her dressed as stitch with a trail of 30 children at bay🤣) there is no end to what she will turn her hand to, all with a big smile on her face.

Please leave your message after the tone 💜 A guest book with a difference!

This is our beautiful new phonebooth guest book to allow your guests to leave you a message on your special day.

How does it work? You record an answering machine message and guests just pick up the phone and leave you their well wishes after the tone.
We then download these on to a memory stick for you to keep forever.

MEET THE TEAM

Next up we have Lex (and his beautiful daughter Emi). Lex is a Director at Gray Manor and alongside Jason is the glue that holds it all together!
There is no job too big or too small for Lex, whether it’s fixing a broken shower, cooking breakfast for 100 people or being a master of ceremonies for someone’s big day.

Lex has the kindest heart you will ever meet and genuinely cares about every single person that walks through the door. He’s been a huge part in making so many weddings here special and memorable and if you have had the pleasure of meeting him, you will always walk away slightly happier (unless it’s early, he’s had no sleep and is a little grumpy but he saves that for the kitchen 😂). He’s a friend to the whole team and will always lend an ear to anyone that needs it.

Wow! What. A. Weekend!

Over 400 people served, 3 very different events all in different locations and a fully booked hotel 🙏

We kicked off Friday with a prom for Wellington academy and we loved seeing all the glamorous teens with their amazing arrivals.
Then on to Saturday hosting the food and beverage at the Rundle cup plus a hog roast for a private party and a fully booked hotel.

When it’s such a hard time to be a small business, weekends like this make us so grateful. So proud of our amazing team, and thankful to the wonderful people who have chosen us to be part of their event.

We are loving being able to offer events both onsite and offsite so we can now cater for all your event needs!
