Part of our role when helping you select the right venue for your conference or event is to check whether there are any local rules and regulations that need to be considered.

Depending on the type of event this can include local regulations covering noise curfews, parking or traffic restrictions, alcohol licences, to name a few.

Part of our process for setting up and running Global Incentive Programmes is to ensure that there is appropriate corporate insurance to cover any issues that may arise whilst the process is running.

We will ensure that there are no assumptions between insurance cover that individuals are expected to have an insurance cover that is provided centrally.

If there is any insurance cover expected of individuals taking part in a programme being organised by MTL Events we will ensure that the insurance is in place.

You need to check that all staff involved in running a conference have been properly trained. This includes volunteers as well as staff provided by the venue.

As part of selecting the right venue we will have checked that staff supplied are appropriately trained. For volunteers we will ensure the provision of appropriate training. Which should include:
• Emergency evacuation procedures
• Simple customer liaison skills
• How to deal with difficult customers
• Who to contact in a medical emergency
• Processes for checking in a registered delegate
• How to register somebody who has not -pre-registered

Spend time prior to your conference researching your presenters and preparing biographies about them.

This means that you will be able to have meaningful conversations with them on the day. This really helps if any of your presenters are inexperienced presenters or appear nervous, as you will be able to help calm their nerves.
