What a quality evening with some outstanding music! We opened with Vanessa Bergman & her lovely acapella rending of a variety of songs mainly from the 60's. Mike Worth always does us proud, whilst Dave McKenzie can be relied on to get our toes tapping to the music of his small pipes.
It was a welcome return to the club to our long time friend singer-songwriter Ian W Brown, & also to Jane Eyre with her beautiful voice blending so well with the super guitar playing of Martin Maltby.
Our headliner Mark Waistell was just stunning! Evocative singing of stories just becoming so real for us, along with haunting guitar playing. What a great way to finish a very special evening. Thank you everyone for joining us. We'll be back again on 8th July.

Fresh from a busy weekend at Wimborne Minster Folk Festival, Bob Carter started the evening for us with a set of songs (!), followed by our banjo man John Ingram. Angus Todd was in fine voice, & followed by Richard Wirdnam who was with Murphy's Lore playing at the festival ceilidhs. Wacian were busking at the festival, but still had the voices to give us a great set.
Jake Puntis is a fabulous fingerstyle guitarist & really treated us to a stunning headline set. Thank you everyone for joining us, especially Bob Carter who was our excellent MC for the evening. We'll be back again on 24th June with Mark Waistell, www.markwaistell.com
