Starting to think about getting going this year, we have weddings and parties booked and as usual, David will be fussy about what we serve. He’ll be watching over that pig like a mother hen with her chicks!

Freshly baked rolls, crunchy crackling, succulent tender pork and tangy apple sauce. It wouldn’t be complete without some herby stuffing!

What a team! 160 men served in under an hour and fed well! All of these ladies (and David 😂) are the business! They just got it done, on the hottest day of the year. So grateful for every single one.

What a wonderful time was had by all at Abberley Village Green today as we celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The weather didn’t dampen spirits in our beautiful village and people turned out in their hundreds. A massive thank you to everyone for putting in so much work to organise such a great afternoon.

We’re grateful for the support of local people who queued for a pork roll, unfortunately demand exceeded supply and we’re very sorry to those who were disappointed. It’s notoriously difficult to cater for this kind of event as there are so many factors that can affect demand. Thank you Ian and Jayne for jumping in to help when the queue was long!

Hog roasting…. but not missing out!

Well, COVID is a gift that keeps on giving! Had to sadly cancel a couple of hog roasts at the beginning of July, but have taken more bookings for later in the year.

Really looking forward to roasting a pig, haven’t had one for 18 months or more!

All the equipment has been checked, cleaned down and sanitised, insurance renewed, double jabbed, we’re so close I can almost taste that crackling…..
