Tempesta - Cork Midsummer 2024

We had a great time building the set elements for Tempesta, a new play by Deirdre Kinahan, one of Ireland's most beloved contemporary playwrights. It was part of the Cork Midsummer Festival, which Triangle Productions always finds exciting and diverse. The festival brings a vibrant programme of events to Cork City in June, and it was a pleasure to work on the pieces installed at Pavilion Bar Cork

The play was originally developed at Glass Mask Theatre, Dublin.

Triangle Productions had the pleasure of collaborating with designer Don Rothwell on the build and fit-up for the 2024 Gradam Ceoil TG4 earlier this year.

TG4 announced the recipients of this year’s Gradam Ceoil awards, which recognise significant contributions to Irish traditional music, song, and dance. Now in their 27th year, the awards were presented at a gala concert and ceremony at the University Concert Hall, Limerick, on May 5th, and was broadcasted live on TG4.

Happy New Year to all from Triangle Productions!

We enjoyed a break over the festive period, and are now excited to be working on a number of different projects coming into 2024.

It has been our pleasure to collaborate with the team at Ichigo Ichie on their renovation, from the fine-dining experience, to the newly opened casual Bistro and Natural Wine Bar on Sheares Street in Cork City.

Here are a few images of different elements we have worked on with them to create the perfect space, following our bespoke fit out of the premises in 2018.

And that’s a wrap!

Triangle Productions are closed for the festive period, excited to open in the New Year and take on new projects. Here is a look back over some of the projects we had the pleasure of working on this year. We always love these challenges, and having the chance to work with all the amazing colleagues, suppliers, clients new and old.

As the year comes to a close, we at Triangle Productions want to express our heartfelt thanks for the wonderful collaborations we had the pleasure of undertaking in 2023. This year has been marked by diverse projects, spanning theatre sets, retail spaces, museums, and beyond.

As we approach the festive season, we want to take a moment to wish you a joyous and restful holiday. May this season bring you warmth, happiness, and the company of loved ones. We look forward to the possibility of joining forces once again in the New Year.

Fidchell, the ancient Celtic board game, was a beloved pastime of old. Played by two individuals, each vying to move an equal number of pieces across the very board that bore its name.

Triangle had the delightful opportunity to craft a grand-scale Fidchell Board for the recent Púca Festival 2023. The Púca Festival is an annual celebration held in County Meath.

Developed by Failte Ireland in collaboration with local authorities, the Púca Festival aims to share the rich origins of Halloween within Irish and Celtic traditions. Samhain, a significant Celtic event, marked the harvest and the division between the "light half of the year" and the "dark half of the year." The festival takes its name from 'Púca,' a shape-shifting spirit from Celtic folklore often associated with Samhain. Púca, along with other spirits linked to Samhain like Boann, Morrigan, and An Fear Dearg, would roam the night, influencing the fortunes of those they encountered.

Jonathan Dove’s breakthrough work, Flight, is a superb original modern-day operatic comedy which has found universal popularity, with many different productions and over 150 performances to date across the world.

We at Triangle Productions were thrilled to be part of the creative journey by crafting the set for this captivating production, brought to life by Opera Collective Ireland. In September the production enchanted audiences at the Pavilion Theatre Dun Laoghaire, Town Hall Theatre Galway and concluded its run at our beloved The Everyman Cork.

Some great snaps taken by our team during a recent fit-up in the 3Arena, Dublin. The project was Notre Dame's Le Chéile, an event commemorating their long-awaited return to Ireland, where more than 9,000 members of the Notre Dame family gathered.

The stage was built by the team in Triangle for a dynamic evening showcasing some of Ireland and America's finest musical and dance talent.

This was an exciting job to work on, and we are looking forward to sharing some behind-the-scenes photos from the construction period in our workshop!
