On supported by explore Brazilian music with Kasia Eliasz, live from her home studio in Maynooth. Joining her on the night, will be Brazilian guitarist, Gustavo de Morais and during their performance you will hear some Bossa Nova, Samba and MPB.

Brazilian music has had widespread influence on musicians in various genres all over the world and during the event listeners will enjoy a lot of standards played alongside recently released tunes. Let them take you on a Brazilian trip in the comfort of your own living room! The concert will be streamed live through Instagram.

I am a couple of years old. The paint from the chair I am sitting on is going off. I am not longer sure if this has been always my room. I do not really have any toys apart from one book in English about animals, and one purple small man that you can squeeze in your hands and create with him any shapes you want. I do also have a cassette recorder, and a balcony.

I find myself hanging in stagnancy. People call it a “day dreaming”. How cute. The room's summery, warm air is simmering down. Have you ever noticed this very moment when a day becomes an evening? Do you know how an evening smells?

I am no longer a child that does not understand. But I am also too adult to understand enough.

After years I found out that the purple, toy man was actually a stress reliever.

Generally, what you can see is the outcome. Everybody wants to show you the results only. And you believe that this is the only way and quality of life they have.

This can really damage somebody's self-esteem.

Please be aware that we are all equal. Some of us just show their lifes a little bit more, have better "tools in self-marketing". But really there is no better or worse - it is just different.

I have been there.
You have been there.
We are all on the same path.

We have our difficulties, ups&downs, we do feel totally depressed at times, and with no motivation at all. There are times when we do feel worthless and that we are not good enough. Even in very basic situations, like preparing a tea or making a bed.

It will come and go. It is a part of the journey.
The key is just to not give up! Whatever you might experience right now, is very momentaneous. Either good, or bad.

Speak up. That might help not only you, but also people around you - a lot of us are too shy to be vocal about their feelings. But more people are aware that they are not being alone, helps them verbalise their issues. Trust me.

Also, be careful. I had no idea how many people got positively affected by very simple good things I had done for them. But also those "simple" bad things I had done, I had no idea how actually it could hurt somebody.
Never judge only from your own perspective.
As I said, we are different.

Keep trying to understand yourself and the others.
At the moment, I am extremely happy and fullfilled. I am grateful and in total peace. But I do realise that this might be a temporary feeling, and I am constantly working on keeping it stable all the time.

Your Wedding Day from our perspective...

Early yoga, breath work, meditation. Yes, we do all of that before going for a gig! We truly believe that the right mindset is contagious and we want to share the best energy we can during your Special Day! Packing equipment, checking if you've taken everything! Ok, we are ready to go. We are already in the car, putting our favourite music on. It will be either Jazz or Latin Music. Kasia sometimes put some Raagas.
When we arrive, to the hotel or the wedding venue, we start setting up all the equipment. We do the sound check, making sure that the music won't be too loud, neither too quiet. Everything has to work perfectly. We discuss with the venue coordinator when exactly your chosen wedding songs will be played. And now the excitement starts! Everyone is checking if everything is prepared as planned and requested. Every single detail has to be quintessential.
We are always looking forward to meeting the couple and the guests. Arrival of the bride and the groom is the biggest and most important moment during ceremony and drinks reception.
During this time, we carefully observe the crowd and choose our songs accordingly to the atmosphere and vibes. If we see that more melo and slow songs are required, this is exactly what we will play. If the crowd is already in a dancing, party mood, we choose the songs that are more up-beat.
Music during Ceremony is extremely important as it creates the mood for the whole Wedding Day, whereas Drinks Reception music is a start before the party begins!
After Ceremony and Drinks Reception, we usually have a little chat with the Bride and the Groom, making sure that they are ready for their Wedding Party!
Now it's the time to pack our music equipment back, making sure we have everything. We head back home, getting some coffee on the way. The energy is buzzing within us.
It is wonderful to see another happy couple and being part of one of their Biggest Day in their journey.
