In 2016 we (Lakshmi Sankaran and Rish*ta Sharma ) thought why not to invest in cutlery bank as if we are asking people to refuse single use we must have an alternative.
Thought converted into Rent A Cutlery .
We are so proud that Rent a cutlery has inspired many to start their own cutlery banks and shown the way that everything is possible .
Till now we have saved more than 200000 single use disposables s from ending in landfills/ getting burnt.

Thanks Kirthi Rathi from Kilapuk , Chennai for making your son's birthday zero waste.
Donations to a charity were made instead of gifts (isn't it cool idea?)

Return gifts were hand made and bamboo toothbrush.

We are in a water crisis and so isn't washing criminal? What about safety? Well all this is unfounded, given that making disposables which are not recyclable consumes more water and resources, and when once disposed the problems of waste, landfills and contaimination of ground water.
So, if hosting a birthday party, an engagement, a community gathering or any kind of celebrations, it is quite easy to avoid single-use plastic cutlery and other items these days. So many cutlery rentals and plate bank options ( ) have popped up all over the city and they have all the items you need. Why not exploit this green strategy to the fullest and host a zero-waste party? Why not make "Rent, Reuse and Return" your new mantra? Think single purchase vs single use

Communities registered with ADDA can now book our cutlery rental service through ADDA app under Discover section. This Gandhi Jayanthi October 2 Lets start Refusing single use disposables and embrace Reusable concept contributing to Clean and green Environment. Happy to share till date we have saved more than 1 Lakh disposables from ending in landfill getting burnt. Thank you ADDA for taking an environmentally conscious step to promote reusables for a clean and green India.

We are a newly opened bistro and it was absolutely fantastic to be a part of a fest as impactful as The Kind Fest. Thanks to all you lovely people we were sold out quite early on. Special Thanks to Rent-A-Cutlery and Amogh for enabling us to green up and provide a great service on such a large scale.

As urbanites we face the ugly consequences of using disposables every day. Hats off to Rent-A-Cutlery for being a part of the solution.
