As crazy as this may sound, the blues make us happy!

Yes! Hungry Cat Kitchen was thrilled to be part of the prestigious Mahindra Blues Festival yet again.
And this year was super special because it was all about performances by powerful women artists. And boy! Did they knock the audience out of the park or what?

With a well curated food court that brought a number of women foodpreneurs under the spotlight, the audience had a blast watching concerts and enjoying nibbles to go with their drinks.

We served an array of loaded wedges with toppings, meaty buns and mini meals. Incidentally this is THE event where we always end up bumping into the maximum number of our clients! Thank you so much for coming and saying hello, our pleasure is amplified.

How did HCK’s Periamma Chicken Ghee Roast roll come to be?
Periamma lived in the house down the road next to the peepul tree. When we were kids, every Christmas holiday, we would barge in through a familiar green door .. tired, sweaty and hungry from playing hide and seek all afternoon.

She would lovingly take an egg smeared paratha, crisp off her griddle pan and deftly fold it around some leftover chicken ghee roast. The sparkle in our eyes was only but a testament to her quick thinking and deft cooking.

This Christmas we pay tribute to Periamma and her amazing ghee roast chicken rolls! Our Christmas menu is available till the first of January. Order in!

Besides a good amount of rum (which is also good to help forget those Christmas calories consumed), our recipe at Hungry Cat Kitchen’s has fibre rich ingredients, like fruits, nuts and currants. Although dried fruits can contain a lot of sugar, they have a lower glycemic index value so don’t impact your blood sugar in the same way as other sweet treats.
