"Street Photography mindset."

I don't go out at any particular time to shoot, I don't camp out at a location and wait for people to come into it, I'm not afraid of getting close, but that's all just me.

What attracts me to a scene is usually the light, the character or narrative of an atmosphere. I survey what's happening and quickly love through it. Sometimes the architecture draws me in but a number of things pass through my mind. Has anyone else shot this scene?

Can anyone else shoot this exact composition, is it unique? All these things all within moments, and through that time I'm trying to be as unnoticeable as possible.

Camera on manual, setting my focus and approaching my subject all at once. For me to say what we do out here is not an art is ridiculous because it teaches me a number of things not only about my camera, photography, and society, but most all myself.

Then I relive all these things when I sit to edit the images. Street photography can be such a rewarding craft.

Today's Tuesday and I'm sitting on the beach looking at my Facebook community. Over the last year I took a serious hiatus after some serious family losses and blows which had me in a bit of hibernation.

I did some reflecting and took some time off, but as I am not fully myself, I'm back to work. 😎😎😎 This is just a heads up to let you guys who supported me for years know that I'm back!

In checking my statistics here on fb I see there is a serious loss in engagement and reach of my post, I'm not sure why, but again I'd just like to say; THANK YOU to everyone who's stuck around and welcome to the new followers! You guys really fuel my passion with your kind words and support.

Being a photographer, artist, and creator isn't just something I do, but it's everything I am.

Everyday people in the streets of Genova. I love seeing how others live in their natural environment and think about them when I'm back walking through my own. The world is a large place and I think that's why I love street photography, it has the ability to connect us all in the most natural way.

The problem with shooting with the Vintage 85mm Helios 40-2 in the street isn't so much focusing or the thin depth of field but the fact that its "pushes" me back away from my subject, but I think I'm going to try and use it soon to take some candid up close portraits and see how that works out for me.
