WHAT KILLED THE DRAGONS.

Fable has it that dragons once run the animal world because of their unique features..beautifully and colorfully designed skin, snakelike with clawed feet, sharp and sensitive eyes,ears and all..
and can fly like a bird..cos it had wings.
It was such a beautiful creature..and to this day the chinese culture has embraced the creature as a basic character in their artistic and symbolic expressions.
The dragon had another exceptional feature that no other animal, living or extinct ever had..IT SPITS FIRE FROM ITS MOUTH ..when its defending itself or when angry.
The dragon world then was also a world of lovers..roving the earth and making partners..but they were a very jealous specie that dont give room for infidelity..
The fable went on to say dragons had a habit of admiring others like them ..so if your partner even suspects you are looking at another..he or she will lament with fire spewing out of the mouth..and if the anger is so untamed the squabble will be so hot that any mistake to come close will lead to the fire roasting the spouse or both..the were animals remember..so no sense of reconciliation or restraint.
And before you knew it they had all UNINTENTIONALLY killed themselves with anger and frustration due to jealousy of lovers.

So why am i sharing this story today?
Because i have seen where even as human beings we have that dragon feature in us..each and every one of us.
When we are angry with our partner sometimes instead of keeping quiet till the tempers have mellowed down, we continue to quarrel with our loved ones..especially when their is a question of jealousy or mistrust..and in the process we spew fire out of our mouths as we speak out the vexation..and in the end make statements that are equally as hot as fire and burns the heart of our partners.

Then we lose them just like the dragons lost theirs.

Most times its the harsh words we exchange with our partners when aggrieved that kills our love and relationships ,.and today true love is going extinct in our generation cos the dragons in us have not been tamed.

This goes out to all of us who are suffering in our relationships because of anger management issues..love should make us happy not hurt..may God help us as we do the needful.
