THE CITY MADE ME!!!
It all began during my childhood, In all Nigeria homes at the time, we were only surrounded by the VHS cassettes and the only scenes that do caught my attention at every movies was the ceremonial and action scenes. Apart from this, In our neighborhood, i do derive joy whenever there’s a party around, I will attend and the only spot you will find me is around the "Gbogbo-Elere"(remember, there was nothing like Disc jockeying at the time)
Upon entering secondary school, Fakunle Comprehensive High School (FCHS), Osogbo, my interest evolved. I started buying CDs in batches from OLD GARAGE and OLAIYA, creating my music collection. Dubbing at studios in ISALE-ARO and ODE-OLOWO, became a routine. Playing my music collection at school events was merely for fun back then.
After graduating, I ventured into more social activities, Beautifully, I was opportune to play at a birthday party of my twins friend in KOLA BALOGUN Area that year, The positive feedback and the soft drinks I received on that day fueled my determination and I told myself “I CAN DO THIS”
I started attending events, buying more CDs, and learning from local DJs marked my journey. At some point, I decided to undergo a proper training from the available Djs in town, I couldn't afford the fee and there was no way I could preach it to my parent that I wanted to learn a Disc Jockeying training😀 How na….(can they even relate😀)
When I gained admission into the best University in the world, the renowned LAUTECH, Ogbomosho, I had the chance of meeting with Dj Tomzy and sessions with DJ Scopeman, afterwards with DjWayzee, Dj Semight and DjLakers for upgrade and mentorship, all these experiences elevated my skills and I became a professional Dj, life brought more opportunities, leading to offers as a DJ in schools and neighboring towns. Post-graduation, I returned to Osogbo, securing my first job as a resident DJ at Island Bar in JALEOYEMI. This marked the beginning of my professional journey, playing at TIWA radio and various street carnivals in Osogbo.
