Looking for a casual part time role?…..

We are looking for awesome individuals who want to work at a wedding venue based in Kaukapakapa, to start mid August and continue throughout the summer season (September to May) and for future seasons after that.

We have roles behind our bar and also service staff who operate both front of house and back of house

We are open to 15+ year olds for service staff and 18+ for behind the bar

Our roles suit highschool and university students as well as people who want a top up income on top of their current job or looking for part time casual work.

Hours can vary from week to week as shifts are rostered based on when we have a function on. Some weeks you could work 10+ hours over three nights, other weeks you might have four hours so you need to be flexible with your availability (some weeks you might not have any hours)

Our existing team are awesome and we are looking to welcome new team members on board (fyi we have around four roles available)

As the sun sets on another incredible wedding season, we want to send a heartfelt thank you to all the amazing couples who chose Bridgewater to celebrate their special day with us.

Now it’s officially time for a two-month breather before we kick off the next season—but while we should be putting our feet up and catching up on movies, Justin’s already knee-deep in his next winter project.

We’ll reveal more soon, but for now… here’s a little sneak peek. Any guesses on what it could be?

Final Renovation Appreciation Post…

thank you to our architect Matt Hagen who was the person who started the ball rolling and helped continue to design solutions throughout the build. This wasn’t an easy job for him given we are a commercial client and therefore have a few more council hurdles to overcome along the way.

We invite all past and future couples to have a walk around Bridgewater Estate at our Open Day on Saturday 19th October from 10am until 3pm.

This is your chance to check out our newley refurbished reception and dance floor space.

If you have booked with us already, this is a great way for you to refresh your memory of the entire grounds, see the new space, and ask any planning questions.

If you are thinking about booking with us but wanted to see the venue set up, this is a good chance to check it all done up.

And of course our past couples, we always love catching up with you so feel free to drop by. You may not recognise the space 😂.

First wedding of the season… and we are excited as just this week we were putting the finishing touches to our new renovated reception area after a fun, muddy, long four months.

This post is thanking all those that made it happen as we could not have done it without them:

Our main build team with Sean, Dylan, Paul, and Gaz (Plus Patch the dog). They were with us from the start and until the end. These guys are legends, with an awesome sense of humour and client focus… if anyone ever wants a builder they can trust let me know as I will pass on their details

Our Project Manager Rowan from refresh renovations. This main is a legend and really saved us from a very difficult time mid way through. He goes above and beyond and was even waterblasting last week to get us to the finish line. Could not recommend him enough… plus he is a genuine human who cares which is hard to come by in this world

Richie, Reece and Will from Prolific Build. These guys were bought in early on in the project to assist our build team. These guys are true craftsman.

Other builders we had throughout the projects included:
Henwood and Keenan Construction (Mike, Logan and Jayden)

And a special thanks to Luke who was our account manager at Carters who had to pull of miracles at times to support us

There are many more suppliers and trades (I cannot mention them all) that helped along the way so a huge thanks to everyone who has been involved.

Plus a huge thanks to our family who have been with us over the last few weeks cleaning and prepping the venue. (Lisa, Katie, Cassie, Danni, Raewyn, Charlie, Jen, Patricia, Barbara)
