It’s been a big weekend for a lot of the Dunedin players with the big LSNZ Invitationals Tournament taking place at Megazone Silverdale.

Dunedin sent up 13 players all on mixed teams with Rooster leading The Hen House, insomnia taking charge on the Nameless, Dari co-captaining Space Groove and other Dunedin players filling spots on LIIT and Legalise Sneak Takes.

We’re all extremely proud of Grooty, Dunedin’s only E grade player to head up and the only Dunedin player returning with a trophy. Massive achievement and we’re looking forward to see him improve even more for next year! He performed well across the board with his team LIIT ending the competition in 3rd and his triples team (Dari & Rogue) finishing up in 5th overall.

Dari, with her partner thebmw, came 5th overall in doubles (with both of them ending the competition with some pretty gnarly injuries…) and Traitor, and his partner Popeyes, finished the event in 7th.

Rooster was the highest placing Dunedin player in the new Tag Team event coming 4th overall with her partner Popeyes, with highest Dunedin pair being CDOGG and Xeta who ended the event in 6th overall.

We had 5 players make it through to Solos finals this year with their final placings being: Cyborant in 18th, Dikaiopolis in 15th, Xeta in 14th, Feel… in 12th, and Dari just missing out on a trophy in 4th place.

Overall very very proud of all of our Dunedin players and looking forward to the upcoming Invercargill competition and a big year for competition in NZ in 2024!

LSNZ has just announced the teams attending ZLTAC 2023 in Hobart and I’m super proud to see the first Dunedin team will be flying over to compete! Let’s go Raptors!

It’s been a pretty big year for our Dunedin Laser Tag League players with many winning trophies in New Zealand’s national competition a few weeks ago! 🏆

We sent some of our best players up to Silverdale, Auckland for LSNZ’s doubles competition and they came back with some big smiles and even a second place medal! 😁

Good job Dunedin! We managed to secure quite a lot of trophy’s including 11/15 of the top 3 teams trophy’s!!!
Special mention goes to RAPIDLAZER for his outstanding performance in every event with almost a full sweep for trophy’s!

Reminder: no league night next week (6th), after that we’re running an intro series for new players 13/07 - 03/08! Would be awesome to see some new faces along! $20 for new players total.

Over summer we're hoping our numbers won't drop too much unlike previous years and will be running league nights all they way through until the start of our next league season in 2022 - we're also moving to Worlds format in preparation for invitationals next year!

Hopefully everyone's well recovered from play-off night last week. We've tallied up the results and the winning team was Team Sparkle_Suit captained by Connor Hannagan.
Below are the team results as well as some individual awards, congratulations to those players!

We'll update you in the coming weeks about plans for training over summer. Thanks to everyone for coming along this year despite constant interruptions and the occasional lockdown.... Hopefully we can have just as much fun and even more league's in 2022!

Despite losing some of our regular players due to lockdowns we we're pretty stoked to have had 14 players sign up for our league! Teams are below with Captains and co-captains named. Team 1, we're hoping someone will be willing to step up and co-captain with Dika (let us or him know if you want to take on the role).

The results are in and we can announce the placings from League play-offs last week!

Congrats to "The Nameless" who came in 1st place!
Our two MVP's were T_T and insomnia respectively and our two Most Improved Players were Einstein, who beat out one of our highest ranked players on average score, and RAPIDLAZER, who performed excellently for his first tournament and has shown major improvement over the last 8 weeks of the season.

Prizes will be given at League Night Wednesday 19th where we'll be moving back to more casual training for the time being.
