Wild Horse Gardens was established as a nursery in 2022 after several years of growing dahlias, veggies and fruits.

Every other day I run out and take what may be the last blooms of the year. Tonight I collected Bloomquist Candy Corn and Bloomquist Anew, a Cafe Au Lait mini and Wyns New Pastel. Frosts may hit anytime and end the season.

Marigold seed collecting is kinda fun. We will have two different seed types available soon.

Of 48 tests run this fall for RNA virus, only 17% had a RNA virus. That’s down almost 30% from last year. With stewardship, you can reduce virus in your garden.

Good morning and welcome to Saturday. First task today is to divide tubers dug yesterday. Next I’m out to pull another set of plants to divide tomorrow.

It’s been a week. Didn’t have my audio on. Basically walked backward to the patch to check out the damage from last nights freeze with you all as my support. Last week was full bloom, I expected black withered plants. Then I point out some of the frost damage and exclaim about how I can probably salvage one more bouquet of mix and matched blooms.

Another garden walk before the atmospheric river. Tomorrow I pull nearly every bloom before the big rain.

Your daily dose of dahlia eye candy.

A daily dose of flowers is good for the soul. I wish we got more than 8 weeks of flowers here on the Oregon Coast. How are your dahlias doing? Feel free to leave a comment with a picture of your garden treasures.
