Oh Boulder 🥺
Even though he was seen by millions of viewers in our “older dogs” video, no one came in to adopt sweet Boulder 💔 Sadly, this is often the case with our bigger bully-breed dogs 😔
Yes, Boulder is a big boy, but he is also a big mush! ❤️ This 5-year-old gentle giant is an affectionate, happy-go-lucky fellow. He is currently 100lbs but should be closer to 80lbs, so he will need a good diet and proper exercise ☺️ He does well with children and other dogs, but we recommend a dog meet-up here just to be sure. Boulder has a lot of love to give, he just needs someone to give him a chance 🙏

Millie is being completely overlooked in a sea of shepherds that are currently in the California shelter system. How could you look at that face and not want to save her!?
Millie is the sweetest, sweetest girl you’ll ever meet.
She’s also quiet, calm and observant. Millie has been kenneled with another pup and she also did great with a volunteer’s child.
Millie’s ears show just how scared and confused she is at a loud, overcrowded shelter.
She needs help before it’s too late. Unfortunately since she is at an overcrowded shelter, Millie is the type of dog that gets put at the top of the euthanasia list. We have no way of knowing which dogs will be euthanized or when.
it is so crazy to think that dogs like this are considered “just another Shepherd”.. We are here to tell you that Millie is more than that, she is very special!!🙏
📣Without a foster or proper funding, it makes it very hard for rescues to help these dogs!!

Halo has been returned after being adopted for less than 48 hours. I removed the reel I did about her placement.
I debated on whether or not to share the reason the adopters gave for returning her. But in fairness to her, I must let people know that the reason given had absolutely nothing to do with anything she did wrong. I don’t want something to hurt her chances of being adopted into the home she deserves.
By all accounts, they were smitten by Halo and they seemed to adore her. But within 24 hours, they called me to tell me that they noticed that her teeth were worn down in the front. I explained to them that this was not unusual and that my vet had no concerns about it. I even offered to pay for her to have a dentistry, but I explained that that would not change the fact that her teeth were worn.
Here’s a brief summary of the comprehensive care we provide for each rescued dog and the associated expenses. Every dog in our care undergoes a thorough blood panel, receives necessary vaccinations (including those for Lepto Virus and Influenza), undergoes heartworm testing, is microchipped, spayed or neutered, and receives treatment for any other medical requirements. Additionally, they are provided with high-quality food.
It is not uncommon for some of the dogs we rescue to have medical conditions; for example, we have taken in dogs with kennel cough that progressed to pneumonia, necessitating extensive and very expensive treatment. We cover all of this knowing that this is what you get when you pull a dog from a high kill shelter. Our dogs initially cost us an average of between $1200 and $1500 of care without unforeseen medical.
Over the years we’ve had dogs adopted who were geriatric seniors, missing an eye or a leg, had chronic arthritis, were diabetic and had behavioral challenges.
