Looking for a mechanic /shop technician. Experience a plus, but we will train. Diesel engine maintenance, oil changes, welding, etc. This position is not only for vehicles as we create equipment for special projects for the scaffold department and for our event business as well. • Directly reports to General Manager
• Give direction to Warehouse Mgr of Daily/Weekly requirements to support sales and maintain product in acceptable condition
• Inventory oversite and maintenance including repairing of event materials. All products requiring reconditioning or repair to be labeled and tracked through completion. When the Shop is involved, oversite to meet scheduling needs and tracking expense on repairs.
• Direct Production Supervisors in daily work requirements and expectations and review jobs with them prior to leaving the Yard with materials to ensure accuracy and increase efficiency.
• Visit job-sites to provide a Quality Control to increase efficiency and drive best practices.
• Review jobs upon completion for Customer Satisfaction, accuracy of billing and job costing to track profitability.
• Occasionally supervise and lead the crew during set-up and tear-down of jobs.
• Delegate responsibility of duties and jobs for Contracts.
• Ensure proper methods are being employed in the work process.
• Assist Production Manager in the daily duties relating to Production as needed.
• Some weekend and evening work required.
• Able to lift 30 - 50 lbs
• Driver’s license required
• Event experience

- Position entails fabric structure/frame tent/pole tent and other temp structure assembly and disassembly.

- Position entails assemble and dismantle of bleachers and staging.

- Experience with hand tools and operating a scissor lift, forklifts a plus

Qualifications

• Work in a fast-paced environment and pay close attention to details

• Must have accredited High School diploma or GED.

• Must possess valid driver's license with minimal driving infractions.

• Ability to clearly communicate with co-workers and supervisors is a must.

• Requires ability to be able to tolerate noise, heat, cold, slippery, and wet conditions.

• You will be required to work some off-hours such as late night, weekend, and early morning and long days when necessary

• Load & unload delivery vehicles accurately according to event contracts.

• Install party equipment such as tables, chairs, tents, staging, dance floor, etc at event sites.

• Assist with maintenance of equipment such as washing, sanding, painting, repair, etc.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.

• Benefits are available after two months.
