Seems like I just took these senior pictures. We had a great time crawling in and out of the flowers and trying to avoid the bugs but as you can see it was well worth it. Kaylee, your senior year is almost over and I hope you are enjoying everything that comes along with these last moments. Before you know it you will be starting a whole new chapter in your life. Enjoy it all!! These are the stories you'll be talking about for years. Thank you for letting me capture a small slice of your senior year.

Don't you just love fall and all the beautiful colors!! The weather that day was looking a little questionable but we managed to get in a great photo session. Ally had a few fun ideas of own and we had fun with it, check out the umbrella pictures. Have a great senior year Ally, you're almost half way through!! Graduation day will be here before you know it! Enjoy every minute of it and thank you for letting me be part of your senior memories.

Now is the time to book you senior pictures for the class of 2024! There are many reasons seniors choose to book their pictures in the summer. First and most obvious is that they are available and have time to fit a photo session into their schedule. The other reason why you want to get your pictures done early is because yearbook images are due starting around Thanksgiving. Some schools are even earlier. I still have several dates available this summer and this fall. Give me a call and we will get something scheduled.

In this post I am featuring a few 2023 senior boys. Typically boys aren't excited about getting their senior pictures taken. I totally understand that. However, by the time our session is over the boys usually say something like, "That wasn't so bad". I consider that high praise coming from a 17 year old boy. Some boys even tell me that it was kinda fun. However, I'm sure they'd deny saying anything like that with their buddies, I'll keep that secret between us.

It's time for high school juniors to start thinking about senior pictures. Most sessions take place in the summer and early fall because yearbook images are usually due around Thanksgiving for many schools.

Curling up with some sun and a good book. Haunted Detroit hasn’t hit the shelves yet but when your photographs are featured on the front and back as well as a few inside the book, you get an autograph copy hot off the presses before anyone else. Thank you Nic!!! I’m on the chapter that talks about the Leland Hotel. This hotel is so intriguing to me. As it says in the first chapter, the hotel has been referred to as Detroit’s “portal to hell”. If you look up reviews on the internet one individual writes that he gives this hotel a negative 10,000 stars 😆. I am fascinated by this hotel. I don’t know why but I’m drawn to it like a mosquito is to a bug zapper. 😆 I’ll keep y’all posted when you can get your very own copy.

The class of 2022 is quickly approaching graduation. I saw this quote the other day and I love it for all our kids that are entering this new phase. "If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door." The past few years have not been ideal or traditional. Their ideas of how things were supposed to go probably changed as they approached this milestone. 2022 grads have already been building doors. They have proven their strength and it's just the beginning for them. They are going to do great things. Chase your dreams, build those doors and soar to heights you never dreamed possible.

It has been a rough school year for these kids. But here they are ready to graduate!! It wasn't a traditional path but it was yours. Reminds me of a famous quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson, "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." Time to show the world what you are made of Class of 2021!! You are strong and resilient - you got this 2021 seniors!!!

These kids had a year like no one before them. But, they survived and are ready to graduate. I'm sure as they become old ladies and old men their grandkids will have to interview them about 2020/2021 and one of the questions will be, "tell me about your senior year in high school?" Congratulation 2021 grads!!!
