This past fall marked the return of the Harvard Early Music Society, Harvard's premier outlet for the celebration and performance of music and dance in the Baroque tradition. After a brief hiatus, HEMS brought together a production team of undergraduates and theater professionals to stage Henry Purcell's 1688 masterwork 'Dido and Aeneas.'

This spring, HEMS will be performing J.S. Bach's "Wedding

Cantata" at Harvard's Arts First Festival. The performance is free, and will be at 2:30 pm in Adolphus Busch Hall, on May 3rd. HEMS is also hoping to hold a Cantata concert this spring, at a date not yet specified. Stay on the lookout for updates about our fall opera (no decisions have been made yet, but the words French comedy ballet have been thrown about)!
