Hanging with these guys...
Sunday we performed at Kwanzaa Charlotte's, Kwanzaa Marketplace at the West Complex on Trade Street. Coming together for Kwanzaa was especially important this year...It has been almost two years since we began this experience of living during a pandemic. Today showed me that the community really wants to see each other. Although everyone was socially distancing, and air hugging or giving hugs awkwardly, our general community is thirsting for (cultural) socialization at this time.
Unfortunately, the number of COVID cases are beginning to rise again. While celebrating the new year please be safe and continue to think of others. Let's all do our part in making it to the next year. Happy Winter Solstice, Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa and respect to all during this season!
