Last week I attended a conference. One of the classes I took were on social media. Hence my sudden will to post more.

If you know me then you know that posting is such a struggle for me. They say that in order to be successful at social media you need to post multiple times per day. They say that you need to post at certain times. They say that you need to also post to stories, many times per day. They say that you need to also tag everyone, this is one that stresses me out and really kept me from posting for a long time. While I do tag all vendors in the beginning (if I’m provided with a vendor list) the extra time it takes to find that list and refer back to it again and again and again as many times as there are numbers of vendors, that’s what keeps me from posting.

Then one day I thought to myself: it’s my photo, it’s my video, it’s my work, I own it. And while I do go through those lists sometimes and I always do in the beginning, I can’t do that three times per day.

And while I know that many people provide services on wedding days, the venue being in the photo doesn’t mean that the venue owns the photo. The makeup artist’s work being on the brides face doesn’t mean that the makeup artist owns the photo. The copyright is with the photographer. And so while I will take the time to tag everyone sometimes, other times I won’t. And I need to stop feeling bad about that and just post my work.

Something that does make me feel better is that when I get tagged I’ll notice that sometimes I’m the only tag. I’ll notice that other vendors aren’t always tagging every other vendor either.

So I’m going to post this photo. And I’m going to tag the vendors that I remember. And I’m going to try to not feel bad about it.

Does anyone else love a veil yet immediately took theirs off? A long veil is such an elegant touch to your wedding and I’ve seen many brides wear theirs for an extended period of time and I love them for it. But when I got married, my veil lasted about ten minutes. A gorgeous as a veil is, it’s important to be comfortable and just know that if you want to take the veil off you totally can. You can always put it back on if you want it in more photos.

It’s been a while since I’ve shared these sweethearts. ♥️

It’s so easy to just share what is easily shareable. For me that means whatever was most recent, as well as everything that is in a folder titled ‘work’ on my phone. I took the time to create that folder a year or two ago and haven’t added anything else to it since it was created. Someday I’ll add more to it but today is not that day.
