Recap of the night. Started 4th in the heat and finished 6th. We had a bad rf shock. So we changed shocks and started 17th in the feature and were looking good but got spun on the 6th lap. To the back we went out of the pot and into the 🔥. Long story short we finished 12th with a bent front axle and some body damage. Not what we were looking for but it could've been alot worse. Thunder is off next week and we were going to race somewhere else but I think we will take some time get the car back together and take a breather. Thanks to our sponsors for making this happen. By the time Jajke cleared the 2nd place car the leader had a big lead and he chased him down. Just didn't have enough to make the pass. This Higfabchassis was fast for sure we just needed a caution and if course with our luck the race went green to checker with no cautions. Thunder Mountain week 3. Found out we had a bad steering box when we were loading up this morning. Thank God we have a spare cause there aren't any around to buy. See how it goes.

We are running Glen Ridge tonight.

Update,
2020 has really been something. We have battled all kinds of issues this season, some self inflicted and some not. The latest is we went out for hot laps with the brand new motor and the Hig Fab handled great. I head back to the pits and no Jake. Hear comes the tow truck pushing him in and the damn motor is smoking!. The motor is done, don't know why yet but we are sick. This sh*tty year will not quit giving it to us.

Got the new HigFab home and starting to put her together. In all the years we have been racing this is the first new chassis we have ever had. Super excited and cant thank the HigFab team enough for their attention to detail!

Update,
Wierd deal in the heat. We blew the right rear but I think we ran over something going on the track, hole was right in the middle of the tread. So we started 12th in the consi and Jake drove it to 3rd. Started last in the feature and had it up to 8th at one point but got spun on a restart and he hit the inside wall and tore up the front end so finished 14th. Not terrible considering where he started but needed to stay clean.

Great to see the turn out from all the Cold Spring folks. Thanks Mid Hudson Concrete And the Giachinta family and Northeast Paving and Sealcoating for the support!

Hanging with Bam Bam tonight. Starting 6th in the first heat.

Finished 4th in the heat, starting 7th in the feature

Wells as a follow up about lap 3 in the feature got in a jingle and as a result we bent everything in the front end. Finished 12th. So this morning I see Jake 'pondering things' and say hey what's up. He tells me he is think inking of how he could have avoided the 'jingle' that really wasn't his fault. This thinking is why I know we are on the right track and that Jake is listening to great advice from Danny and Randy Sherlock. It is nice to have you guys in his ear. We had a good time pitting with Big Time Bam Bam.. You gou Boy!

Little rain delay at Five Mile Point. Starting 5th in the 3rd heat.

Finished 5th in the heat. Started 15th in the feature and drove it up to 9th and blew the right rear tire. Sucks Jake had a real nice run going.

Started 10th in the feature and finished 10th. Not bad for the second time here and the car was junk the first time. The kid drove a good, smart race... proud of him. We are getting there.

Running the Thunder on the Mountain show today. Starting 4th in the 3rd heat.

So in the heat Jake passed for 2nd was running clear but entered turn 2 a little high and got knocked up and back to 6th. Was able to get back to 5th and qualify for the feature. Started 15th in the feature and had a good run going but got hit hard in 3 and cut the right rear and bent the spring bar so our night was over. Overall he did good just gotta stay out the bees nest.

First time this year at Thunder Mountain. They are handicapping so we will start in the rear, should be interesting right from the get go.

Update, we started last in the heat, 7th I think maybe 8th and they were taking 4. Jake made a pass into 4th but couldn't hang on and we finished 5th. Started 14th in the feature and got spun and he drove back up to 14th. Not a great finish but a good night.

We are at the Hard Clay Open in Middletown, 1st time here. Go some work to do starting 9th in the first heat.

To recap we started 9th in the heat and finished 5th that put us on the pole in the consi and Jake won it that put us 23 in the feature and he made it up around 10th and the right front spindle broke and he ended the night getting towed in. I'm very proud of Jake for his first time there and really his first regular sportsman race he did a great job.

An update on our weekend in Georgetown, Friday practice was canceled due to weather and we could have used it. We were ready to go but had ignition problems from the first practice and could not get the car to fire on the track. We just couldn't find the problem. We are very disappointed, especially Jake, but we will get it fixed and be ready for the Hard Clay at Middletown. Sorry to our sponsors but it is only the first race of a long season. We will put it together that's a promise!

This is what Jake ran in the feature from the first lap to the last. I cannot believe he finished the race much less finished 3rd. No wonder the kid is sore.

Rough night last night at Hamlin. We will get her put back together for the Battle of the Bullring tomorrow night at Accord. Jake is going to run with the All-star division not JR. Anyone interested it will be a great night of racing, Modified, Sportsman, big time racing.
