We've extended the audition submission window for Premiere Company's production of "Beetlejuice, Jr.": you have until this Sunday, October 20 at midnight to upload your audition videos and personal statement.

Premiere Company is DLC's audition-only troupe of young actors dedicated to taking their process to the next level. Directed by area multi-hyphenate Sierra Young, Music Director Sandra Files, and Choreographer Sophia Elise Bell, you won't want to miss the chance to be part of this elite cast.

Beetlejuice, Jr. may be creepy, but grades K - 2 have a class that it just for them. In our Beginning Acting Class production of "Bugz," students will learn the basics of singing and dancing together as a team while telling a story that makes sure that everyBUGy is invited to the picnic! Two week countdown: our first School's Out Workshop is on October 3 from 9am - 4 pm. Students will spend their day off from school playing drama games, writing a script, and learing a song and dance to perform for you at the end of the day. And there are always new friends to be made at a School's Out Workshop!

We are thrilled to welcome Marshall Logan Gibbs as Director of Saturday Class. Mr. Marshall is an arts educator with experience at Chesapeake Arts Center and Everyman Theatre. As playwright, their work has been performed in Baltimore, Chicago - even Alaska! They join Saturday class after an awesome few weeks with DLC this summer as the Director of Best of Broadway: Today and Director-in-Training camps.

That’s a wrap on summer camp 2024! It was a HUGE summer and we couldn’t have done it without our fabulous teaching artists. A few of them celebrated on stage with our admins after the camp day ended, but we will miss our campers so much next week 🥹 Have a great weekend before it is back to school! Our elementary school campers have been immersed in the magical story of “The Wizard of Oz” for the last three weeks. We think they’re going to transport their audiences, too 🌈

An actor in mainstream films and tv, Luisa Strus is a first-generation Ukrainian-American you may know from her character roles like Dr. Xavier in “Ned’s Declassified” or Alexa in “50 First Dates.” She was a member of The Neo-Futurists, an experimental troupe that asked its audience to participate in the action on stage in real time instead of transporting the audience into a pre-written story.
