I am so excited and proud to share some good news about some of my photography work. I am involved in a group of worldwide award winning photographers and from time to time, there are opportunities to submit work for "accreditation".
The photos are judged on several criteria including expression & connection, styling, composition, posing, lighting, overall technique and presentation, focus and storytelling. When I tell you that I sometimes feel like a little fish in a big pond, it is no joke! The talent in this group is beyond comprehension. So, to submit my work is a bit scary, to be honest, but it is the only way for me to really grow. I got feedback on each of the images with what worked and what needs to be improved upon.

This round I am so proud to say that one of my images scored higher than any other entries that I have submitted! A personal best and that was my goal!

I love people. I love having you in front of my camera....I know it's a big deal. I am honored when you trust me to do my very best to portray your best self. Do you need an updated headshot? This family is so cool! I took their photos about 8 years or so ago and we’ve kept in touch and I have been honored to be to the one who has a superpower! Freezing time! Freezing memories.

They came to my studio and we created not only photos but also memories. We laughed and we cried and we bonded over the love that they have for each other.

Doesn’t Tonia look beautiful? She told me that it has been a long time since she felt pretty. Just another reason to be sure that she never forgets that feeling.

Are you a mom with a camera and want to take fun pics of your kids? Lighting is everything. Be sure the subject is facing the light. In this case, the window was behind me.

It is such a joy to see my grandbabies grow up to be such awesome humans! I am so blessed!!

It is so gratifying and humbling to be given the opportunity to be able to freeze a moment in time with my camera!

I love serving my clients by helping them look their best with professional hair and make-up and a styling consultation with even beautiful and unique options in my studio that are available to further enhance your experience. I provide consultation during the whole process and direct you from head to toe in the photography process.

I went to Phoenix last week to attend the annual conference and had the privilege, pleasure and honor of photographing my long time friend. She has gone thru so much. she lost her husband way too soon and is slowly picking up the pieces. She has adopted a beautiful daughter, she is now working as a first grade teacher, which she has longed to do for years! A photography session was a perfect way to mark this new chapter.

Being asked to do headshots for my sweet friend Tamara was such an honor! I have known her for so long and have gone thru good and bad times. You know. Life. It’s filled with happiness and sadness and laughter and long talks and I’m so grateful to call her my friend. We ended up using my backyard for her photo. See! We don’t need a fancy place for a great headshot. Tamara wanted to look her best so she came to my studio and Lizbeth did an amazing job on her hair and makeup! That’s how we roll! Photos are your opportunity to put your best foot forward and being pampered helps!

I cannot even express how much I love taking photos of moms and dads and grandmothers and grandfathers with the children whether they are in their first few months or years and even their older years. A grandmas love and heart is so tender towards these precious ones.

Legacy photos! I’m not sure exactly what is the best thing to call this but I feel that “legacy” is probably the best way to describe this series.

We all spend soooo much money on our wedding dresses that are worn AND photographed only once (usually). What a shame, right? Especially when the marriage lasts for just shy of 70 years.

I got to photograph my beautiful niece Sarah in Moms wedding dress and I’m so happy with how different they (the great granddaughters) are and how different yet similar their photos in this wedding outfit are.

Can I do this for you? These photos have really touched my mom’s heart. How can we honor your matriarchs?

Legacy session. This is the 3rd great granddaughter to be photographed in Moms wedding dress. Mom and Dad were married in 1952. It has been so much fun to take these photos and have them all turn out uniquely different.

Camille is an absolute sweetheart and I love how and collaborated to style Camilles hair to be reminiscent of that era. And the make up was perfect!

This lovely young mama has overcome so much and I could not be prouder of her. She had a crazy birth family full of addiction. She has had some major ups and downs. She got to her bottom and went to Adult and Tean Challenge in Graham and I met her in the first few months of her recovery process and I was so moved by her resolve. She has put all of her faith, hope and trust in Jesus and He has given her a new and beautiful life. She is humble, she has purpose and she has a beautiful baby and a man who adores her. We got to capture this moment today. I am so proud of her and love her. Her family is awesome!

This moment! When you have endured all the things in pregnancy and you get to this moment when you realize you will meet your little bundle of squishy beautiful love in just a few short weeks! Maternity is one of my most favorite moments to capture because it is such a precious and sacred time.

Rachel and Corey are expecting their sweet baby boy in just under 30 days! I was so happy that I got to spend some time with them.

Are YOU pregnant? I would love to do your maternity session either outdoors or in my studio. I have beautiful gowns in my studio so you will feel as beautiful inside as you are on the outside.

When trying to think about what to say about this beautiful woman, my mind just is overwhelmed. Tee is just so lovely in every way. She is a woman with great faith. When she is in the room, she captivates everyone in her presence. She fills the room with beauty and grace and I am always so grateful to see her. Grandchildren fill a space in your heart you never knew was empty.

My mom came to Seattle a few months ago and we took portraits with her and some of the kids who were here. I love this one of Gramma Grape and Abigail, her youngest great granddaughter (as of 2/2022). More to come!!
