Amazing Attractions has been producing shows and events throughout Texas and around the country for over 35 years. We help plan and execute entertaining events from start to finish. Working with companies and individuals to ensure the event will be forever memorable. Planning venues, dates, entertainment, décor and then executing the plan from start to finish are all services we provide. We are a

co-op of entertainers and other entertainment specialists who have joined together to collaborate rather than compete with each other. Quality, Service and Creativity are the professional trademarks of Amazing Attractions. As a co-op of entertainers, we operate as booking agents for professional entertainers across the country in various venues. Entertainers under our umbrella range from magicians, clowns and jugglers to musical, theatrical, circus and touring acts. Amazing Attractions has been in business since 1982 and is owned and operated by Dal and Cinde Sanders. We have no exclusivity with performers, each one acts as a free agent, but we do operate under contract with them on jobs booked through our company. All entertainers are screened for professional talent, background, appearance and overall quality.

It hhas now been 10 years since Eric Hogue and I, worked with Representative Pete Sessions and his staff to have magic recognized as an art. This process took almost 2 years of meetings with Representative Sessions and his staff to create this simple document that now resides in the Library of Congress.

Recognition was the first step towards having the United States Government understand that magic is as much of an art as painting, sculpture, music, theater or film making. Even mimes are considered artists.

Traditionally, the second step would be passing a resolution in the House of Representatives, having that resolution ratified by the Senate and then finally signed by the President. This could help magicians protect their intellectual property and it would help magicians to obtain grants for artistic endeavors.

Unfortunately, that process is stalled, partly because of a change in the House Rules and partly because of the division in Washington.

We can still use the Recognition Document of 2014 to try to convince grant writers to consider magic as an art (and in fact, many people have successfully done that).

After the Dallas Magic Clubs meeting last night, some of us were discussing illusions and telling stories with Illusions. I mentioned my version of "Things That Go Bump in the Night". Here it is from 1987 with Mendy and Cinde. (I did update the sound track so YouTube wouldn't cancel it).

Sherman, set the Wayback Machine for 1986 for what has become a Social Media Christmas Tradition. In October 1986 I filmed this video for Aries Productions. It ran in Video Concepts Stores, McDuff's Electronics and in other electronic chains across the United States. I didn't get to use my regular assistants or cast but I think these people did a great job. It took two FULL days to film with the second day running well past midnight. In 1987 it was re-cut for Radio Shack stores and for Television Commercials. Yes, the Tech is old, but it was fresh in 1986.
