The DanvilleAdvocate Brass Band is a community-based performance organization that began in 1987,under the direction of Dr. George Foreman. Lee Spoonamore.

The Advocate Brass Band is a 501 c3 non-profit musical organization that was organized in 1987 by then director Dr. George Forman. The band was financed for over 25 years by the Advocate-Messenger Newspaper,and has been the host band for the Great American Brass Band Festival since it's inception in 1990. The band is currently under the baton of Mr.
