A hero is defined as an Educator, Fire, Healthcare, Volunteer, Military, Police, Community Service personnel (i.e. County Dispatch, Lifeguard, Community Hero). We'd like to honor these brave men, women, and community leaders who help keep us safe and make our community a better place.
Before submitting your essay nomination, please ensure the nominee meets the following criteria:
Hometown Hero nominees must live or work in Volusia and Flagler counties; must spend the majority of their charitable time in Volusia and Flagler counties; must be a volunteer, professional or person with significant impact on the community.
