The Old Town Elk Grove Foundation invites you to join us for the 10th Annual Chili Festival, featuring 2015 International Chili Society Award Winner; Dave Hipskind. This FREE family friendly event is held two days on Saturday, May 6th and Sunday the 7th from 10am-6pm and attracts over 10,000 attendees each year. Attendees come from all over the greater Sacramento region for the mouthwatering chili
, vendors, live entertainment, kid’s bounce houses and activities, food court, and beer garden. Craft vendors, commercial businesses, non-profit groups, community service organizations, and food vendors are all encouraged to participate. The International Chili Society will be hosting the regional chili contest with prize winners. The “People’s Choice” prize of $500 is awarded to the hard working individual or team that makes the best chili as voted by the people. The "Homestyle" winner collects $500. Interested individuals and teams are encouraged to enter and cook their best chili recipe. Every chili is automatically entered in both contests. Chili tasting starts at noon and lasts as long as supplies do. Cost to taste and judge chili is only $5 for 6 chili samples.
