The posts will be limited to private party sales of items that are clearly related to the Wavecrest Woodie Meet and Woodie station wagons. Please no commercial sales or advertising. Violators will have their posts removed and their membership to this group blocked.

Thursday, September 16th: 5pm we'll meet in downtown Encinitas at Charlies parking lot. We will be selling Wavecrest T-shirts and BBQ81 dinner tickets.

Friday, September 17th: 5pm at our host hotel The Best Western, for light appetizers and we will have our T-shirts and posters available for purchase.

September 18th: 8am - 2pm we'll meet at beautiful Moonlight Beach for The Wavecrest Woodie show

5:30pm join us for a fabulous on-site *TriTip, Chicken BBQ Dinner from BBQ81 at The Best Western with our auction to follow. *This will sell out fast as we're doing limited dinners. You are able this year to buy your dinner tickets in advance this year. Hello Fellow Western States Woodie Club Members,

After months of strategizing how to stage the Wavecrest 2020 event amid the Covid-19 pandemic, and with an abundance of caution, the Wavecrest Committee and the SD Woodie Board has come to the conclusion that we have no choice and will have to cancel this year's event.

This decision was not made lightly and involved much deliberation and conversations with both the City of Encinitas and our Event Sponsors. In the end, all involved decided that the risk to our San Diego Woodie Club Members, friends, and the public attending far outweighed the possible joy the weekend event might bring. We also were unable to obtain assurances from the City that they would allow the event to be staged this year.

Health circumstances permitting, some of our Club Members plan on organizing a cruise on September 19th to have a venue for us to get together on the day that Wavcrest was scheduled to take place. While this will not be a Club sanctioned event we will however use our website and e-blast system to keep everyone updated regarding this cruise.

Thank you for your understanding in these trying times. We look forward to seeing everyone soon and at the Wavcrest 2021 event!

Thank you each and every participant and spectator that attended the 40th Anniversary of
Wavecrest! Starting with a look down memory lane of the history of this event through the lens of the Wavecrest posters, to the amazing Sunsets on Friday and Saturday at the Moonlight Beach gatherings. The weather Gods were smiling down on all of us throughout the weekend! We hope all who attended enjoyed the Show! We look forward to seeing you all of you again next year!
