Maryhill Windwalk: America's Only Music and Gravity Sports Festival

The music festival successor to Gravity sports found its Mecca.

Amidst the rolling, golden hills of Eastern Washington, the pioneering lugers found themselves overlooking the Columbia River Gorge unaware of how this discovery would attract the world. It became the trial ground for any downhill racing enthusiast. The pilgrimage to Maryhill is a rite of passage for young men and women seeking to find themselves on the black curves of fate. It has remained an epicenter of greatness due to consistent upsets and battles for the podium. Maintaining the tradition of discovering the world’s one true downhill champion, 2017 will be no exception. Racers will be tested as dreams become reality at their competition’s expense. People from all over the world of all ages and disciplines will fight for the podium that rises above the rest: Maryhill. Street Lounge Productions is proud to introduce the first annual Maryhill Windwalk: a Music and Gravity Sports Festival happening throughout Labor Day weekend (September 1-3, 2017).

This is awesome news! I know it is just in Turkey, but still, it is a vital step. The entire event will also be live streamed!
This is a sign of things to come. And there are still spaces left for the free accommodation and food.

WDSC go to on LIVE TV for Round 3 in Türkiye!

S Sports, the biggest sports broadcaster in Turkiye has agreed in principle to carry the quarter finals, semi finals and finals of Round 3 on live TV. The slot normally reserved for Formula 1 on a Sunday will be allocated to WDSC finals as there is no F1 Race on October 9. The broadcaster will also be airing the half hour shows from Italy and Czechia. S Sports is home notably to Formula 1, Moto GP, La Liga, NBA, NFL and the Euro League amongst others in Türkiye.

After a two year hiatus, Kozakov Challenge is back!
Kozakov Challenge is one of the longest running downhill races in Europe, and takes place in Czech Republic’s beautiful Cseky Raj. It is one of the longest courses on the world stage, having two high speed sections with speeds over 100 KPH. The middle of the course has a series of technical turns and hairpins that will challenge the racers.
The race runs from Wednesday, July 13 to Saturday, July 16th. The event is capped off with the iconic after party, Saturday night, with cheap but good Czech beer.
Kozakov Challenge will be the second race in the World Downhill Skateboarding Championship. The series will be filmed and broadcast worldwide, at a later date.
Camping is available at the top of the hill. Some spots close to the party, and quieter spots further away. There are also plenty of hotels in nearby Turnov or Semily. Gorgeous sunsets can be viewed, almost every night, just a short walk from the campsite.
Open Standup, Women’s Standup, Junior Standup, Master’s Standup, and Street Luge will be raced as usual. An Inline race as well as a Gravity Bike race will be added, this year!
Kozakov is about an hour and a half from Prague by car, or you can take a train to Turnov, and try to get a lift from another athlete. A bus also stops at the top of the hill, not far from the start line!
Racing is 220 Euros for four days. Non racers can opt into the freeride category, and freeride over the same four days.

We are pleased to announce the inaugural season of the World Downhill Skateboarding Championship. The first two events of the season are TST in Italy, July 7-9 and Kozakov Challenge in Czech Republic, July 13-16. The events will be filmed and broadcast on worldwide television, at a later date. Please stay tuned for more information on the broadcasts.
TST will be held July 7-9 outside of Monticiano Siena, deep in the heart of Tuscany, Italy. The course is 2 kilometers with a top speed of 100 KPH. . Practice and qualifying is on July 7 and 8 with racing on the 9th. More info at the FB event page;, https://www.facebook.com/groups/153711872011979
Kozakov Challenge, Europe’s premiere downhill street sports event, will return after a two year hiatus. Located outside of Turnov, Czech Republic,, on the highest hill in Cesky Raj, July 13-16. With top speeds close to 110 KPH, and over a 2.6 kilometer course. Freeride sessions on the 11th and 12th, official race practice and qualifying will run on the 13th and 14th.
