This week one of my clients told me she was pregnant and she was worried about continuing the current program she was on.
We have been working together for about a month and she felt somewhat lost with what her new fitness journey was going to look like.
I personally was over the moon because I love helping women realize how they can still keep up with their fitness routine WHILE being pregnant… the overall goal just changes. For my specific client, we are going from weightless goals to focusing on keeping her energy up so she can keep up with her toddler while on her pregnancy journey, as well as helping her prep for baby.
Staying active and eating healthy while pregnant will help you feel better, recover quicker during your postpartum journey, give you a positive headspace and so much more.
No matter where you are at, I can say that finding a healthy balance with diet and exercise will compliment your life.
If you’re looking for some extra help, recently found out you’re pregnant, looking to lose weight, postpartum or just have some questions around this topic, reach out to me. I’m here for you!
Confessions of a new mom trying to honor the process of getting back to where she was in the gym prebaby.
On Wednesday I went to my first CrossFit class with other members. I looked at the WOD and I thought to myself, this is my kind of workout. It was a chipper & I knew it was going to be challenging, but I underestimate it. I finished it with 15 seconds to spare & wowsers I am feeling it today.
I had a moment where I looked over at Erin, who was holding Tannar, and I was so dang proud of myself. This is exactly what I wanted this journey to look like. I love that Tannar is going to grow up watching us live an active lifestyle. Showing her that movement is better than watching TV or sitting on the couch all day, and that hard work pays off!
Oh ya, my ego is a bit bruised when it comes to the leaderboard but I am going to keep going and working my way up to where I was and beyond.
Know that your fitness journey is just like the crazy road of life--you will have highs and lows but you have to keep working, embrace where you are and know that you will get to where you want to be.
