Welcome to the Art Garage Open Mic Night page. Open Mic has taken place in Studio B at the Art Garage since October of 2015 when it came to us from Goodwill’s Harmony Cafe following their closing in 2014. We have seen a lot of performers on our little stage and a lot of networking between them sometimes resulting in wonderful collaborations.
The open mic has been held mostly on the third Friday of each month sometimes adjusting for holidays or other events. We have taken a break most summers with the exception of moving it to igNight Market in the summer of 2019.
Like most other venues, the pandemic presented new challenges and we tried a virtual open mic for a couple of months but that was not a truly good solution. We came back in the spring of 2021 only to see attendance fall off a bit. It has been decided to take a break again until the fall of 2022 where we hope to incorporate some new features and hopefully are able to proceed unhindered by the virus.
