Please join us tomorrow evening, Friday, May 12 for movie night in the park, as we show Clifford the Big Red Dog. This family favorite will start shortly after 8 pm. Come on out! Blankets and chairs encouraged! Bring your own refreshments, or support the two food trucks that will be serving. We will have an ice cream truck as well as Mi Tai’s great food truck. Parking is at the library or on the south lawn of the park. See you in the park!!

Happy May! The park is looking great and looking forward to our first Friday event of the year! Please join us Friday, May 12 for a showing of Clifford the Big Red Dog. This family friendly movie will begin shortly after 8 PM on the main lawn! Come on out, bring chairs, or a blanket. Feel free to bring your own refreshments, or better still, support our vendors, and buy from them! Looking forward to seeing you in the park!

We are happy to announce our first Hamden Town Center Park event of the year is movie night in the Park! Please join us on Friday, May 12, for a showing of Clifford the Big Red Dog! Before the movie, we will be announcing an event promoting local pet adoption. Showtime is as soon after 8 as the sun allows. More details on that and the whole program shortly. Thanks to Hamden Department of Arts and Culture for helping us to make this happen!

This summer, Berserker Theatre Company (previously seen as Tieline Theater, most recently seen in Hamden Town Center Park last summer with their production of A Midsummer Night's Dream) will be returning to Hamden Town Center Park with their free outdoor production of William Shakespeare's Hamlet! Join them for Shakespeare's greatest tragedy July 29-31.

Drive-Up & Go Free Food Distribution
When: March 3, 2022
Time: 3:30pm - 6:30pm (actual distribution 5:30pm-6:30pm)
Where: Hamden Middle School (Cafeteria)
2623 Dixwell Ave. Hamden, Ct 06514

Volunteers Responsibilities:
Volunteers arrive no earlier than 3:30 pm
Unload pallets
Organize items
Put items in bags (if needed)
Set-up tables & stations
Place items in trunks while cars stop at each station
Close trunks for participants
Break down boxes
Throw out trash
Put away tables
Required: Mask & Gloves must be worn on the site.
We will provide the gloves if needed.

Hamden Recreation Department Announces
2021 FREE Fall Drive-In Movie Series
Fridays in October - Movies start at 7:30pm
Town Center Park - 2761 Dixwell Ave., Hamden 06518

HAMDEN – The Hamden Recreation Department, in partnership with the Hamden Town Center Park Commission and Hamden Police Department, announces a special Drive-In Movie Series inside Town Center Park this October!

The Drive-In Movie Series will take place Friday nights, October 8th thru October 29th on the 40ft “Big Screen” and is geared towards families, teens and couples of all ages! Limited concession vendors will be on-site, though families are encouraged to bring a meal to share in their vehicles. At this time, no picnic style seating is available at the venue – only vehicles will have access to movie sound.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure a parking spot. Please be sure to follow directions and volunteers as they assist with your parking. As Town Center Park is relatively flat, parking rows will be staggered to provide the best-possible viewing angles. Attendees should enter through the Hamden Middle School and continue into Town Center Park via the access road.

The Drive-In Movie Series will run every Friday night inside Town Center Park from October 8th through October 29th with the following schedule:

• October 8th Jurassic Park (Original)
• October 15th Hocus Pocus
• October 22nd Tyler Perry’s BOO!
• October 29th THE SIXTH SENSE

Come on down to Hamden Fest for a bite to eat, visit local businesses, and check out the craft vendors until 4 p.m., and stay to see Sean Nelson’s New London Big Band from 7-8:30 p.m.
