Obsessed. Gives such chill island life vibes. Early reviews find the sound to be nostalgic comparing it to JT in the 2000’s. Ironically, JT gets the feels when it’s actually Janet Jackson’s song, Island Life that we are hearing. WHICH remains one of my favorite cuts from Damita Jo. Don’t get me started on how the music industry and the GP fu**ed her so bad that she had to apologize for how “bad” that album was when, in fact, it’s one of her best.
