Our family sessions always push us to get creative with how to capture people beautifully and authentically. We all love the Christmas card photo (and we always try to get a few good ones of everyone looking at the camera), but we’ve found the most beautiful photos are the ones where we can step back and just capture a family as they are… in the play, the laughter, and the little moments. The challenge as photographers is creating those moments and giving prompts that allow our clients to have fun together. This session with Allie and Zach was one where we felt really proud of how we were able to do just that. And we LOVE how these photos turned out!

Took a page from our friend ’s book and utilized the sky as our backdrop and we are just a little obsessed. 😍
Real talk though: We value friendships in this industry SO much for many reasons:

1) Seeing other photographer’s work inspires us to try new things and constantly grow in our work;

2) Friendships are WAY better (and more fun) than competition;

3) Friendships with other photographers allow us to feel less alone and actually have community as we share our joys and struggles of running businesses with each other;

4) Seeing the differences in everyone’s work allows us to see the creative beauty behind each person… from the way someone shoots to their editing style and how they run their business… everyone is so unique and it reflects the grandeur and vastness of God’s creativity, too!!

We delivered Michael and Casey’s wedding gallery right before thanksgiving, so we are just getting around to sharing some of the goodness from their day! They got married on the Feast of Our Lady of La Leche and the Lord was so present through their joy and sincerity of heart. It was hard to pick just a few photos to share because we loved them all!

If you’re on the fence about doing a newborn session, maybe baby Oliver will convince you. 😉
In all seriousness, these at-home newborn sessions are sweet, raw, and intimate. They capture such a beautiful season of life that flies by in a blink of an eye (probably from lack of sleep and just trying to survive in general). It’s always such an honor to be invited into a client’s home to capture their growing family and give them keepsakes to look back on forever!

McHale’s senior session on the beach! ☺️
We were supposed to take her senior photos at Washington Oaks state park, but after driving an hour, we had to pivot as the park was still closed because of hurricane flooding. We ended up down the road at the Marineland beach and we are so glad we did because the sunset on the rocks on the beach was GORGEOUS!!!

It’s always such an honor when couples reach out for us to capture a maternity session. There’s something so sweet, intimate, and sacred about a mother’s growing belly and documenting the life within before birth. Sessions like these will never get old! Prayers for Lauren and Joseph as they prepare to welcome baby girl into the world in just a few weeks!!!

M A E + J O E | Literally a couple of weeks before this couple’s wedding, they lost most of their possessions from one of the hurricanes that hit Tampa. We had no idea they were impacted so badly until the day of their wedding when Joe gave a toast at their reception. Jack and I were so moved by this couple’s detachment, joy, and genuine gratitude—It was a truly a gift to witness. They told us that they didn’t shed tears over their stuff that they lost, but rather they cried from the outpouring of generosity and love from those who stepped in to help them. Thank you Mae and Joe for your beautiful witness to the things that are most important. We pray that your marriage is filled with the Lord’s love and that we all can live with that same gratitude that you showcased on your wedding day.

Casey and Michael got married on the Feast of Our Lady of La Leche, Oct. 11. Everything from their florals and details, to the Liturgy and music of their Mass pointed toward heaven and invoked Our Lady’s intercession on their Marriage. We have no doubt heaven is smiling down on this beautiful couple with their hearts so fixed on Jesus. May He continue to pour His graces into their Marriage for generations to come! Thank you both for your beautiful witness to Sacramental Marriage and Christ-centered love!

More of our favorites from Emma + CJ’s portrait time! We always love having some time for church portraits after family formals AND time for outdoor photos. It gives so much variety and splits up the portrait time so it doesn’t feel like you’re taking photos for an hour. 👌🏻

Rachel used to volunteer with the youth girls at our parish when I (Josie) worked in youth ministry. She became a good friend, and naturally, we would share our dating/Vocation journey with each other and all of the highs/lows that dating entails. Last year, she told me about this guy that she started dating who loved the Lord and pursued her intentionally, but that he was just stationed in Alaska, so they would have to date long distance. I was like, “hey, well the Lord will make His will clear one way or another!” And He sure did, praise God, because these two cuties are getting MARRIED!!!
Seriously could not be happier for Rachel + Nathaniel. To see friends find their spouses after a long wait and many prayers is a TRUE GIFT and reminder of the Lord’s faithfulness. We were honored to capture their engagement photos on the beach last month!

10/10/2024

Who’s gonna hold your hand and lead you to heaven, not just in those fun moments when everything is going your way, but at 12, 2, and 4AM when the baby wakes up AGAIN and you’re running on no sleep? Is your man the kind who is gonna step in and ask how he can help—even though he’s dead tired, too?
Or when you’re pregnant and sick and not able to do ANY of the household chores, cleaning, cooking, or grocery shopping that you usually take on… is he gonna step up and do it all with a smile?!
Or how about when you have disagreements and you can’t come to a compromise, is he the kind of man who will get on his knees and ask the Lord for guidance and help?
It’s easy to talk about the fun parts of getting to do life with your spouse, but life is also full of little, daily crosses that can make or break your marriage. We’ve found that it’s how we love each other and respond to one another in those little, everyday moments, joys, sufferings, and frustrations, that make us feel like we are either thriving or drowning. We can’t really control the things that happen to us in a given day, but we can decide to always be honest, open, and sacrificial for the other… and that is what brings us TRUE JOY!!!
So for all of the ladies out there praying for a man like this, pay attention to how a man will readily sacrifice for others—because that’s what he’s gonna do for you.
And if you’re a gal who’s got a man like this, thank the good Lord and share this with him! ❤️
(^And yes, I was speaking from experience haha shoutout to Jack for doing ALL of those things many times in our Marriage).

In love with this gallery and this couple! We couldn’t be there in person to capture this day, so our friends photographed it for us. When we heard the timeline got thrown off, we were amazed at Jenna + Brendan’s positive attitude and spirits. Their wedding Mass went way longer than expected (if anything is gonna throw the timeline off, at least it’s Jesus ya know?!), but they were such troopers. Not everything that was planned was able to be captured (bridal party got cut short), but their couple portraits turned out super cute and they even grabbed a scoop of ice cream!!! This couple is such a great example of going with the flow and surrendering expectations to the Lord on your wedding day! It’s going to be exactly what it’s meant to be, and we will capture it as it comes. Thanks to all of our couples for being awesome, but especially these two! 🩵
